But if taken on that point, then i guess it was that dhaaga which suchitra gave him.. saved him since God is greater than luck . Laughing Buddha wasn't with him then..or was it?

Even if it wasn't in the car with him, the thing was probably in his room which means the owner had its luck when he was driving the car. A car that was tampered with.

Well yeah God is greater than luck, but I find it odd that he gets these gifts just before a well-planned accident. We're not talking him getting beaten up or getting legs broken, but totally eliminated.

It was dhaaga given by mother. Not laughing Buddha. Dev also credits that only. Frankly such tropes are lame and feed superstition IMO. I don't like this stuff.

I would say presence of mind saved Dev. Not Dhaaga or Buddha. But yes having that dhaaga with him because his mother gave him was an indirect way of accepting her blessing and love.
I mean you need not believe in these things. But if your loved ones does that for you , if you just accept them without insult brings a lot of positivity and good will is what I believe.
Same is the case with Buddha. Dr Dayal too likes Dev and it doesnt matter what he believes but he accepted that too with good will.
Dev credits the dhaaga to put his mother at ease. He had already told his mom it is not dhaaga but her love is what that is gonna keep him safe. It is true also.
And from the shooting incident most probably it is Nithya's love that is gonna bring him back 😃

@Bold:Exactly. Dev's driving technique saved him from that killer.
