Hey Guys,
I am a relatively recent Kumkum Bhagya fan. I saw all the episodes till date in last 2 days and I totally like Abhigya. (I am not saying LOVE yet, because this is just the start and things can go either way). But, they are definitely fresh and different. I don't want to go into the logic and reasoning behind their marriage, but I am sure we are in for a treat.
Currently, I am extremely busy with work, but I just can't get these 2 out of my head. So, I thought I'll write a short OS and give my mind some peace. :D So here goes:
Background: Abhi and Pragya have been married for a month and Abhi still treats her badly (same as now - silly taunts here and there but nothing major), but he is the beloved son -in-law. Sarla and Dadi have won him over with their honesty and pure hearts. He is even more disgusted with Pragya, because he feels that she plays with their emotions as well. Now, cut to present:
Ajeeb Chashmish
Abhi is sleeping and he can smell the familiar low grade incense stick. Even without opening his eyes he could imagine her standing in front of her make shift mini-mandir and praying to God. "God knows why she still keeps praying to god. And what is she asking for. I am sure she wants me to die, so she can get hold of all my wealth. Greedy Chashmish! But, I am Abhi, Abhi - the Rockstar. Even God can't do that, coz I have already written up a will stating Aliyah and Dadi as heirs. Anyway, let her finish her prayer and get my coffee. I'll wake up only then, I don't care if her god is offended that I don't wake up for him. Serves him right" Thinking this Abhi smirks in his sleep.
While Abhi was busy in his monologue, Pragya finished praying and leaves the room. When he doesn't hear her come back even after 20 mins, Abhi gets up and goes in search of her. He doesn't find her in the usual places, so he steps out and there he sees her hailing an Auto rickshaw.
"Where is she off to at 9:00 in the morning?" "I am sure she is sneaking to meet Purab!" "Chaalu Chashmish!" Saying this, Abhi gets into his car and follows her. "I can't take my eyes off her for even a second. One second she is acting to please Dadi and next moment she is fooling her own mother and next moment she lectures me on my lifestyle and next moment she is still trying to trap Purab, again!"
"This Purab is also so dumb, he still hasn't realized that she is a gold digger and he keeps falling for her good girl act." "Wait why is she getting off the Rickshaw out here?" Abhi notices that she left the Auto and stands on a bus stand. "Interesting...very interesting. This is a very unobvious place to meet her love. No one can doubt her here. This Chashmish is very smart!"
"Wait! Why is she getting on that bus? Does she know that I am following her?" Now, Abhi gets more conscious and starts trailing her keeping a few cars between his car and the bus. Finally, he notices that she gets down at Chembur. He almost missed her trying to remain hidden from her sight. But, he is Rockstar Abhi after all and Rockstars ROCK! ;) Pragya is walking now. Suddenly, it starts pouring really heavily, so she tries to catch a rick again.
"OMG! This girl is crazy, why does she not trust anyone. Oh may be she is getting in due to rain. Haha! Her God also doesn't like her, hence keeps putting obstacles in her path. And then he remembers her words "Musibat meri zindagi mein apne aap hi aa jaati hai, usse main call nahi karti! (Troubles come into my life on their own, I never need to invite them in.)" Though he hadn't reacted on her words when she originally said it on their "honeymoon" her choice of words had sounded interesting to him. Anyway, Abhi just came back to reality, when he notices that her rickshaw was stopped on a red light.
An old lady was trying to get a rickshaw, but no was taking her as they were all full. The lady seemed miserable and wasn't paying attention to her surroundings, when a biker hit her and she fell down. No one was helping her and she just sat down and started crying. Abhi was feeling really bad looking at her and he wanted to go out and help, but that would attract a crowd and that chashmish would realize he was following her. "Yeh stupid chash..." Even before Abhi could finish his thought he noticed Chashmish kneeling down next to the old lady and wiped her tears. She spoke a few words and helped the lady up. They chatted for a few seconds, after which Chashmish took the lady to her Rick and gave some money to the Rickshawala and she was about to turn, when the lady placed her hand on her head, as if she is giving her blessings to her. Pragya just smiled and walked off towards the edge of road and started walking. The signal changed and the rickshaw took a U-turn and went in opposite direction.
Abhi was speechless now, but he continued following her. She was totally drenched and seemed to be shivering. He wanted to give her a lift, but how would he explain his being there. He was so confused. But looking at her shiver like that was making him restless; he was just about to call her, when Suresh stopped next to her. They both shared an awkward eye lock. Both seemed guilty and sad. After a little hesitation Pragya sat on the bike and held on to the back of the bike. Abhi continued trailing them and finally after 2 mins they reached the college. Pragya got down and ran up the stairs. There was a spring in her steps, as if she was happy to be back. Suresh kept waiting at the bottom and kept staring at her and just before going off view, she turned and looked back. She had a smile on her face, which diminished on seeing Suresh still standing there. They again shared an odd eye lock. Finally, she went off and Suresh went to park his bike.
Once, Abhi realized that Chashmish was actually going back to college, he left and started thinking "So, Chashmish was going to college. I thought she wouldn't go back there. Why didn't she use the car Dadi gifted her? I had to go along with Dadi and get her a nice car and she is not even using it. Does she want a BMW? And why did she help that old lady? And what's with that creepy peeping Tom Cruz? How does he land up everywhere? Why does he look at her like that? More importantly why does she look at him like that? As if ..As if there is some unspoken hurt between them."
So many questions were going through Abhi's mind. But, just one reply could sum everything up: " Chashmish Ajeeb hai!" Saying this Abhi smirked and started singing Happy Love.
