Kishwar Merchant: Ek Hasina Thi is more massy as opposed to classy!

She's the bold and bindaas babe in Sanjeeda Sheikh starrer Ek Hasina Thi

The hot and sexy Kishwar Merchant is quite happy with her character in Star Plus show Ek Hasina Thi. After all, her character of Raima is not ordinary. She is complex and layered. This TV hottie even doubles up in another avatar as Anarkali in Akbar Birbal and is glad that comic show is faring well. Here's the leggy lass talking about her roles, TRPs and much more...

Kishwar clearly doesn't relate to her EHT role, and even confirms this when she says, "Raima Maheshwari is a feisty lady. At one time she is having a torrid affair with her best friend's Sakshi (Simone Singh) hubby and at the same time she is also helping her out. We have shot scenes where she and Rajnath Goenka (Ayub Khan) are making out in the farm house and Sakshi calls and how Raima takes her calls. At first I was bit scared when I was offered this character but now I am enjoying it. I don't know how woman in real life can pull of such charades, it is so not me ."

This babe might not understand the reason for her show is not doing well on TRP charts, however she's one of the rare kinds who doesn't mind admitting and even discussing it. She says, "That is what we keep talking about on set. Most of our friends in the industry watch Ek Hasina Thi. We also get lots of positive feedback on social media from fans saying that they love the fast paced plot. so I don't know why we don't rate. May be our show is more massy as opposed to classy. "

She does not think that the channel will pull of the show before it's scheduled one year run," I think we are doing very well."

Besides Ek Hasina Thi, Kishwar is also doing Akbar Birbal on Big Magic. And she's thrilled to experiment on screen, "Till now I have always said no to historical but I said yes here for two reasons, a it is a historical comedy and the second the entire Anarkali get up is fun."

The actor points out that as opposed to Ek Hasina Thi, her other show Akbar Birbal is doing very well on the ratings front ,"We have reached 0.35 TVR which is very good for a new channel like Big Magic."

Well, we hope this sexy lass even manages to find success in both her shows in the coming days.

Even I don't understand why the TRPs are down, it's one of the rockings shows on air. Some of the Indian viewers need to change.

@Abray see it is 8pm slot. It has JA which is 2nd or 3rd in overall chart. Very difficult to take viewers from such a top rated soap. Maybe people watch EHT but online.

I know it because I come from DABH forum. DABH is the TRP leader there is a lot of difference between DABH and another serial in the same time slot. I mean it is only now KB has managed to have something like 5.9.Earlier I have not seen any other show at 9pm above 3.5. DABH currently has 9.2

if EHT was in some other time not competing with JA its numbers would have been better.

I'm sorry but I don't find JA that interesting. I mean common after seeing Hrithik and AIishwariya's movie, this series is not-so-happening,, EHT is far more better than this, it has very good actors and amazing storyline.

DABH is a good show and it deserves to be the TRP leader so no comment on that😆

@Abray I agree to you. I dont watch JA simply because I have enjoyed Hrithik-Ash chemistry to the core in the JA movie.

But to be frank I have younger cousins who are hooked to JA like anything. I mean teenagers love it and somehow I feel EHT is a little too heavy for them😃

I agree that EHt is too serious for teenagers. But what about those who watch DABH? DABH is not a teenagers' show, many matured viewers enjoys the main theme of the show. So why not EHT? DABH is about how a husband supports his wife for becoming IPS officer and EHT is about a girl who seeks justice for her sister who got gang-raped. Did the viewers forget about the delhi rape case? I thought viewers will get attracted to the show for the sake of this case.
