Film will recover its investment as its satellite/other ancillary rights were sold for handsome price of around 45 cr and addition of 38 cr nett worldwide share means film will earn profits for producers.
HUMSHAKALS Is Heading For 63 Cr Nett Lifetime Finish

''Humshakals'' received criticism from almost every critic and was ridiculed by many on social media. Film has scored good numbers over weekend and now stamped acceptance with solid Monday which resulted in decent week. But finally super opening of ''Ek Villain'' and bad word of mouth forced huge drop in 2nd week.

Film collected close to 40 cr nett over weekend one which was simply outstanding but film dropped by some good margin on weekdays. Film ended week one with respectable numbers of 56 cr nett. Film needed good 2nd week in order to have good lifetime total.

Film started with low numbers in 2nd week as film was affected by bumper opening of ''Ek Villain''. Film collected only 4.15 cr nett over 2nd weekend which was drop of 90% from weekend one. Film added 1.75 cr nett on weekdays and thus it collected 5.90 cr nett in 2nd week which is 90% drop from week one.

Film has collected close to 62 cr nett plus in 14 days which is below average figure and now film is heading for 63 cr nett lifetime which is below par. But film will recover its investment as its satellite/other ancillary rights were sold for handsome price of around 45 cr and addition of 38 cr nett worldwide share means film will earn profits for producers.

By that account no movie is a flop .Producers always recover .Its the distributors who have to earn .

Humshakals was sold for 75 crore meaning 150 crore minimum net WORLDWIDE was required to breakeven .FLOP!

Oh, Damn! Do we have to bear another humshakal/ Himmatwala next year?🤢 Someone please blacklist this Sajid Khan. We've managed to get rid of Shirish Kunder. Now his Saala also should be banned in BW.

its a flop anyway or either which way...recovering costs and profits has nothing to do with a film's BO but tht count many flop movies will be declared hit !
