Smriti left the show becoz she could not cope up with her shows n this one as...Ekta literally slaves the skin out of her artists... n Smriti now being a senior artist had to march upwards n not be stagnant and be the "hero" of just one show .The current character of Tulsi being played by Gautami is not as powerful as Smriti......Ekta should have chosen an artists who could match Smriti in all walks including built n speech .

I think she left because she herself started hating the story and didn't want to be in a show in which all she got was disrespect and probably thought that the show is doing so bad that she didn't want to be in it.It could also have a been that she is working in other serials too right now and many other things! 😛

I think Smriti never left the show as she very clearly said in all her TV interviews. She said she was told to perform the death scene and as she is not the producer of the show she did what was told to her like a professional. The reason according to me is nothing but Ekta's ego and desire to get smriti of the show come what may.
