BTW, who are Rani's sisters and brother-in-laws? I do not know this information. Can you please sketch these characters for me (who is who in the serial and what is their role and nature relative to Rani)? Also, from the serial introduction, I read that Rani is actually rich and she got married in the middle class family. Do you know how she landed up in the wedlock with Raj and why he had mis-understanding with Rani initially?

Please Tina, if you don't mind and have time to spare, just a brief update will be very helpful for me. Sahara One started here only recently.

I am really impressed by Rajender...that was sweet of him to help Raj....I did not like the way Raj is trying to hide the facts from Rani....ahe loves him and would understand his situation....they should be honest with each other.... 😉

No problem...Here's a brief update:

Well, when Rani's father was on the verge of bankrupcy, he met Raj at his office and used to bump into him several times and started liking him. Rani's dad met with an accident once and Raj rushed him to the hospital. It was then that Rani's father decided to have him married to Rani. He spoke with Raj's family and they readily agreed for the marriage out of greed. Rani's Dad and Raj's family hid the truth about Raj & Rani's lifestyle & background from each other. When they first met, it was love at first sight. And then they got married.

Rani was surprised when she entered Raj's house but told herself that she will try her best to adjust, as her father decided for her well being. So, on the night of their wedding, Raj and Rani share things about them. Raj was shocked when he discovered that she doesn't know hoe to cook, grew up in luxury, etc..He thought that she wouldn't be able to adjust to his lfiestyle and didn't want to put any pressure on her. Most of all, he was upset to discover that they were lied by their families. This created misunderstandings and distances between them.

Sureka and Raj's family, except Rajendra, were furious when they found out about the financial condition of Rani's dad and treated her badly.

Shalini, Rani's sis, wanted to take Rani out of the 'chawl' and gave her the divorce paper, which Rani refused to sign. However, Raj saw those papers in Rani's closet & is shattered. Immediately after that, he left for a business trip. Shalini took Rani to her house for a few days but when Raj returned, no one informed Rani. Surekha, too, lied about Rani. She told Raj that she left on her own and will never return. Shalini and Surekha worked together to make Raj and Rani sign the papers.

Then entered Karan, Puneet's business partner, who fell in love with Rani. One day, Puneet somehow made Raj come to a retaurant where they were having dinner with Karan and Rani. Raj saw Rani alone with Karan and was hurt. Puneet and Shalini told him that Rani is happier without him. He then signed the divorce papers but it wasn't that easy for him. When the papers reached Rani, she refused to believe that Raj could do this and immediately returned home. There, Shilpa (Raj's friend, who was in love with Raj & had also tried to separate Raj & Rani, but later turned positive because of somthing Rani told her ) told Rani the truth about the divorce papers. And then, Rani spoke to Raj and their misunderstandings get cleared. (There was a video of that scene in our yahoo group....It was originally uploaded there...)

1. Sheetal-she's the eldest; well mannered & very cultured; has one son----In the soap: the tall one with long black hair, dressed in a sari..
2. Nachiket-sheetal's husband; rich business mand; good person; cheerful & jokes around a lot; loves rani a lot too----In the soap: tall guy, with curly hair
3. Shalini-the second eldest; spoiled; prefer a luxurious life----In the soap: the pretty girl, with long brownish hair & usually dressed in stylish indian attires
4. Puneet-shalini's husband; rich businessman; egoistic----In the soap: kinda dark, real name's anupam battacharya
5. Komal- the third sister; married a few days before rani----In the soap: chubby, medium length hair
6. Komal's husband--forgot his name 😕 ----In the soap: the guy with glasses

I know they always show puneet but what about the rest.
