Scene 1
The episode begins at a party being hosted by one Vijay. We see ACP sir there as well. Vijay has a drink and everyone cheers for him, but just as he's about to start the games, he starts coughing violently and collapses. ACP sir checks and discovers that he's dead.
Scene 2
DCP Chitrole arrives at the crime scene and is greeted by Sachin. We see Dr. Salunkhe examining the corpse; he informs that Vijay ingested something that burned his entire alimentary canal. He adds that apparently ACP sir gave him that poison. 😲 ACP sir says Vijay had invited him to the party. Chitrole forces him to take off his gloves and says he's under suspicion. He demands to know why he was attending the party thrown by a known criminal and drug smuggler like Vijay. ACP sir says he attended it to check what was going on there. Vijay's female friends start wailing and mourning the loss of their eternal supply of makeup and skimpy dresses. One of them says she's an actress Maya and Vijay had given her a break into the industry, and he'd called her to the party.
(Flashback: 2 hours earlier)
Maya arrives at the bungalow in an auto and ACP sir meets her. She's visibly tensed to learn who he is. Vijay's sister Rohini arrives with one Rakesh. After some cheap jokes, the action shifts to the party where Vijay introduces ACP sir to the other guests. He mentions a game of snakes and ladders and says the person chosen will have to consume a special drink. ACP sir takes him aside and demands what his intentions are. Vijay says he's leaving for Denmark permanently and taunts the fact that the ACP was unable to get him successfully prosecuted in court. ACP sir calmly says he'll not give him the chance to flee.
Eventually, the game begins and Rakesh is chosen to have the drink. Vijay prepares the drink in a suspicious manner and hands it to Rakesh, who suffers from abdominal pain and fits of madness on drinking it. Vijay and his ladies jeer at his plight while ACP sir strongly objects to it. Another round of the game starts and Vijay loses; ACP sir says he'll now have to take the drink made by him (ACP sir).
(Flashback ends)
Dr. Salunkhe points out some 50 types of booze kept on the counter and says Vijay was poisoned by one of them. Chitrole demands why nobody else was affected by the poison. Salunkhe sir brings forward the glass Vijay had drunk from. Rakesh says ACP sir knows the ingredients since he prepared it. Chitrole demands ACP sir to prepare the drink again for them to examine. ACP sir complies. Chitrole drinks it and does something that'd be home in a Daffy Duck cartoon. 🤢 He agrees Vijay's drink seems to have been harmless. ACP sir recalls he had also added mint leaves in that drink, which Maya had brought for him. Maya shows them the garden plant from where she'd taken the leaves. Dr. Salunkhe examines them and notices apparently poisonous mushrooms growing in the mint plant's pot, construing the poison came from there. Maya suddenly faints. ACP sir tells Shreya to take her to the hospital under strict watch. Salunkhe sir takes samples of the mint plant and mushrooms for examination.
Scene 3
Vijay's corpse is taken away amid great floods of tears and wailing. 😭 😭 😭 The guests start a blame game and one of the women says she'd seen Rakesh mixing something in Vijay's drink before giving it to him. DCP notices the stirrer lying under a table.
Scene 4
Chitrole approaches Dr. Salunkhe who reveals neither the mint leaves nor mushrooms had poison. Chitrole accuses him of trying to protect ACP sir and hands him the stirrer to check for poison.
Scene 5
At the hospital, the doctor tells Shreya that Maya suffered from minor dehydration due to excessive drinking. Shreya notices the ward boy taking something from Maya. She confronts him and discovers Maya had given him a note reading there's a letter hidden behind the dragon painting at her house, which has to be destroyed before the CID gets it. The ward boy confesses she's asked him to give the letter to her servant.
Scene 6
Daya sir, Purvi and others visit Maya's house and manage to find the dragon painting in which the letter is hidden. Upon examining the letter, Daya sir grows grim.
Scene 7
ACP sir receives a call about Rakesh's details and then goes on to question the guests about the stirrer taken by Chitrole. He questions Rakesh hard and reveals that Rakesh had been in jail for 10 years, plotting revenge against Vijay. Rakesh confesses Vijay had once been his partner in crime, but backstabbed him and led him to being imprisoned. Sachin and ACP sir suspect all of them, including Maya.
Scene 8
Shreya brings forward Maya along with the letter they found at her house, which is a suicide note claiming to be by Vijay and reading that he's committing suicide of his own will. Shreya points out Maya wanted this letter destroyed. ACP sir says they wanted to make Vijay's murder seem like a suicide. We're shown that Vijay had been sabotaging her career for not complying with his wishes. ACP sir instructs Sachin to frisk Rakesh, and they find a single die with him. ACP sir recalls one of the dice falling down during the snakes and ladders games and Rakesh picking it up. Taking up the second one too, he orders the suspects to come forward and throw both the dice on a table. Everytime, the dice read 12. ACP sir remembers Maya swapping the dice when Vijay was playing, thus making him lose and have to take the drink prepared by ACP sir. Dr. Salunkhe calls and tells ACP sir that there was no poison on the stirrer.
ACP sir again remembers Maya tripping and her bandaged elbow falling into Vijay's drink. Shreya checks and sees her bandage is gone. Maya insists it wasn't poisoned. The servant Raghu tries to flee, but is captured and forced to confess that he had a grudge against Vijay for sending his father to prison. Rohini also tries to escape, but Shreya seizes and slaps her. It's discovered the poison came from a hidden cavity in one of her large finger rings. ACP sir points out how she cleverly added the poison while lifting Vijay's drink. Rohini says Vijay had not only prevented her from marrying Rakesh, but usurped her share of their property as well, thus she wanted to kill him. Chitrole arrives and Rohini suddenly draws a gun, only to discover it's unloaded. Chitrole reveals he'd been snooping around her bag and disarmed her gun as soon as he found it.
