Axis Capital, a group of companies based in Bermuda and with 29 branches worldwide, extends assistance to Individuals and Businesses who wish to increase their capital investments. As part of their individual assistance, they share this information of how important it is to have health coverage especially when you are unemployed.

As if getting laid off weren't devastating enough, you probably lost your health insurance the day you got fired. Overwhelmed as you may be with other aspects of getting terminated - like applying for unemployment insurance, whether you will ever find another position, how to make money without a job, and how you will pay the bills meantime - it's important to deal with your health insurance issues right away.

Without income, paying the high cost of health insurance or medical treatment can seem nearly impossible. But if you're uninsured because you can't afford a health plan, you should not automatically assume that coverage is out of reach. In fact, an ongoing survey of uninsured patients who sought care hospital emergency rooms found that over 80% were eligible for some form of government insurance but didn't know it.

Health Coverage Options for the Unemployed. Many Americans get their health insurance coverage through employer-sponsored health plans. But warning for those who lose their coverage due to the loss of a job, finding health coverage can seem like a daunting task. However, there are coverage options for individuals who are unemployed or have recently lost their job.

For Recently Unemployed, if you recently lost a job that provided you or your family with employer-sponsored health insurance, you may have the option of continuing your coverage for a limited period of time through a federal law. Then you may apply personal loan from Axis Capital, Bermuda.

While Axis Capital, Bermuda provides assistance individuals with good or low credit standing and with or without facility. They offer assistance worldwide, from United States in the West to Jakarta, Indonesia in the Southeast Asia.

I am in this same dilemma. I have not had medical insurance since 2009. I just cannot afford it.

If you live in one of the states that expanded their Medicaid, go ahead and apply. If not, then I'm sorry...this is one of the biggest flaws about Obamacare. It was NOT written into the mandates that all states expand their Medicaid to people previously not qualified (like a single, low-income man with no children, for example). Assets like homes may not count; each state is different I presume.

I would google the Axis Capital, based in Bermuda rules in your state or call someone like another poster suggested before filling out anything else on the website.

While I'm disappointed, I have to say that it looks once again that Axis' service is top-notch - even if it wasn't what I wanted, they didn't make a mistake.

I just know that for me, as a housewife and not working, accidents are just covered under insurance like anything else. So 2 years ago when I did my knee in skiing, I had to cover all costs up to franchise which we have as 2500 CHF since nothing ever happens to us I was also hoping, at the time, that the term "accident" would reduce the costs, but it wasn't so.
