Why does Adi have such a strong bond with Shagun?

I have been wondering this for a while. They have always portrayed that it was Raman and family that took care of Adi when he was younger. Shagun was more of a sometime mom. Child's younger years are very important for forming these close bond. Even now she hardly spends time with him. So I am curious : why does Adi share such a strong connection with Shagun? So much so that he lied about his dad in the court case?

I didnt spend time wth my mom in my younger age and neither now after my mom dad divorce...
Basiclly every mother have 2months of conges maternite mean two months to stay at home pampering the baby!!
So baby spend two first months of life with mom and after with assistante maternelle, garderie, Tata or Grandparents...

But i love my mom alot and can do anythng for her!! Even i dont spend time with her or i dont care!!
Shagun is another case she doesnt work neither on her own has a big business or property which here moms have!!
She doesnt have time because busy in spa and whatever, but here mom doeasnt have time because busy at work...in france also ladies r more successfull and powerfull than mans on her owns so...
I understand Adi loves Shagun because its his mother and being away from her make him love her more like raman is shown loving more adi because he is away from him!!
But in all this its Shagun's fault!!
Adi love her alot but she doesnt seem to be loving him so much!
