You know even though Ashok and Shagun are out and out bad characters - though Shagun may have had a slightly grey tinge in the first few months of the show - to me, Param is the worst.
Yeah, Shagun cheated on Raman for money and Ashok didn't care that he was breaking up his employee's marriage willingly as well as taking away his son/etc etc and then trying to take away his business izzat and his daughter. How much more "in your face" can you get with your horrible-ness?
But Param, for me, is even more evil and scary because we don't see evil people like Ashok and Shagun everyday; people who will try to destroy person x from every way possible and so transparently. Unfortunately, most bad/awful people are like Param. They talk sweet words and convince you (aka Bhallas and Simmi) that they aren't that bad and that anyone who says anything against them is the perpetrator while they are the victim. They're the ones who think that women have no izzat and they can do anything they want with them (a big problem throughout the world for ages!). They're the ones who hide behind the guise of over-friendliness and familial relations to get what they want.
Most importantly, people like Param whisper and spread mirchi to cause chaos and get what they want (ex: Romi and now Ashok). I mean, reading the written updates, Param was speaking so glibly, he was planting seeds in Ashoks head with such precision it's like he's the embodiment of a shaitan.
People like Param, unfortunately, are much much more common than people like Shagun/Ashok. That is the alarming and chilling truth.
