Today as a professional and as a manager I can say that having a team member like Sandhya is a headache to any team. A team member who doesnt have passion towards what he or she is doing, who cannot fix priority is a manager's worst night mare.
if CVs think they are showing Sandhya balancing family and career they are showing non sense. It is because of idiots like Sandhya stereotypes are formed.
A married woman cant take high risk projects, if she is a mother she is less efficient in her work. Does the CVs even know how much genuinely performing woman suffer because of these stereotypes.
Do they realize because of such unwanted leaves woman are made to run from pillar to post for their genuine needs. I can very well understand SPs anger take full day leave. I would tell the same if one of my subordinate ask me leave on a quarter ending day unless it is very very genuine like sickness to self or some family member or a death in the family, or a well planned leave in advance for a wedding or family function.
What would have happened if Sandhya didnt go to Chavi's place. But her presence in that traffic control was important. To boost the team's morale. True results dont matter, but till the very last minute you have to try, you have to motivate.
Shame on you Sandhya. Today you put to shame millions of working woman who are balancing their life and work in a better fashion.
