Where can I see the flashback when Raman first met Shagun. Seems like I missed that one.

Hi. Your post is great. And I agree with all of it. I don't think Raman has consciously thought about love - just accepted that whatever he had with Shagun was it. It is only when he understands what he has with Ishita that he will understand that a relationship between husband nd wife can be so much more than what he had with Shagun.

Just one correction though. To the best of my knowledge, Raman did not send Subbu's mom to the judge. She went on her own. Raman is disgusted when Ishita accuses him of it and says that not everyone thinks like her.

I think you've completely hit the target with that - that Raman hasn't ever consciously thought about love but rather accepted that whatever he had with Shagun was it. I fully agree with that statement.

I haven't watched the bench-wala/parantha eating scene (I haven't yet watched the June episodes; I had exams in May and family over in June and I JUST finished completing the May episodes) but from what I have read on the forum and WUs is that when Ishita tells him something to the effect that his family and responsibilities are also hers, Raman wipes away a tear or feels emotional. And I think that's the beginning of Raman realizing that a wife isn't there just for sex/arm-candy/procreation, but as a partner in every sense of the word. And Ishita is exemplifying true marital partnership, even without the romantic intimacy. I think perhaps he got an inkling of that sense from the time Ishita subtly helped him get over the fears of Ruhi's paternity, and her helping out with the land deal/making chicken for bua also cemented the fact that Ishita was a true partner/companion. You know, now that I'm thinking about it, even what he says to Shagun during the salsa scene - "You can't match my steps but Ishita on the other hand is always there...etc" is a reiteration of this.

But Mr Raavan Kumar understands one thing and does another, as we can unfortunately see in this current track. Sigh.
