You might hate her for her offscreen personna and might cringe whenever she gives paparaazi a photo in which she poses, but it's no denying that she is one of most underrated actress on her generation and even of Indian cinema!
Rekha ia appreciated for beauty and boldness time and again, Hema is appreciated for success she achieved by being at top of game for years. Zeenat Aman, Praveen Babi are often regarded as original sex bomb of Bollywood and when one names best actress of bollywood, no one forgets to mention Shabhana Azmi, Smita Patil. Its so disheartening that in all these, Jaya's name is never taken for anything
Be it Abhimaan, Silsila, Chupke-Chupke, Guddi, Kora Kagaz, Uphaar, hazaar Chaurasi ki Maa... She has always proved that she is strong actress. Also not to forget, she acted equally good in K3G, KHNH and Fize too, films that you all must have seen!
She has such an reinforcing naturalistic style of acting and is shame she isn't talked much besides constant gossip mills surrounding her family!
