I have a different perspective on this matter.
First of all, National security should take precedence over petty family matters for a BSD major, full stop.
But, questioning Mala does not help Rudra in finding Tejawat, because, Mala does not know anything about Tejawat's treachery. All she knows is, Tejawat threw her in the dungeon on one fine day. Until then, he was a caring husband and passionate lover.
In Paro's case, Tejawat admitted to his crimes. I am not sure whether he admitted in front of Mala or not.
Rudra does not know it either. As a BSD major, he should be questioning her as a terrorist's wife, which he is not doing for ambiguous reasons.
On the other hand, Paro is not pushing Rudra to speak to Mala, because she is worried about National security. She is a nave and pure hearted soul, who cannot imagine a mother and son not talking to each other no matter what. So, she is trying to get them to talk about what happened 15 years ago. I do not blame her.
So, we prefer the story to go in a way, where finding Tejawat is top priority to BSD and Rudra on the mission on a regular basis. We can still have family drama in his presence or absence depending on the story line.
There is still room for Courtyard rendezvous during night time, for TRPs.
The dialogue, "I will not spare that terrorist, because the matter now concerns my dear wife" does not sound credible coming from a BSD major. He should be looking for Tejawat since Paro testified against him at BSD office and not waiting for one more valid reason (in this case, acid attack on Paro) to catch him.
I know it is a fiction and people can tell me to get lost because I am neither a CV nor the director of the show and do not know what CVs are thinking. So, I will wait for the story to reveal itself and I am certainly not going to get lost, because, I love Parud/Sanish and the show with all the weaknesses 😊
