Beautifully Broken Love
With darkness covering my eyes, yours is the only face I see,
But then, why did I fail to realize that you were never meant for me?
When I had fallen into a bottomless pit, and you came to me with your hand outstretched,
But little did I know that I belonged to this darkness wretched?
There was a time I thought that I found light,
And that was when I met you, the most beautiful sight.
My life became a fairytale, a dream when I wasn't sleeping,
But then I realized you were not mine, when my heart was weeping.
I prayed for light... and only your light,
But never did I realize that I lost my will to fight.
I were my choice, I had to make,
But too late when I realized that you weren't mine to take.
I still crave for your warmth and heat,
Even now, it is for you that my heart beats.
When you barged into my life, whole and new,
I failed to realize that you were too good to be true.
Out of the wretched gloom, you had me rescued,
And more my own, yours was the life I valued.
It's all over and it's all fine,
But I will think you are always mine.
When everything's done and all's gone,
Just remember that you are not alone.
I will always wait by and far, for your arrival, near the stars.
Because my love for you is eternal, and will bear those scars.
