I have LOTS to say (so bare with me!😆)

Okay so from the time the promos of the Zindagi channel came out...I was super excited to watch its shows. Mainly because I was sick of the shows that are being aired in India at the moment (no offense) and also because I desperately wanted to watch something coz I was hella bored during this vacation time.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai is the second Pakistani show I am watching, I had previously watched Humsafar (And LOVEEEDDD it!), and the promos plus the prospect of watching Fawad Khan again seemed extremely exciting to me.

What I hadn't expected was that I'll be watching ZGH non-stop for 2 freakinggg days! After I watched the 1st episode on TV, I couldn't stop myself from watching further on youtube! It is so damn addictive!!!

Coming to the show, I have only one word to aptly describe it, beautiful. ZGH is one of those rare shows, which have connected with me so effortlessly and has moved me greatly in so many ways. As a viewer, I found it to be FLAWLESS!

From the actors to the script- ZGH is much beyond excellence and is in all ways MINDBLOWING!

This show is so realistic! That's what is so amazing about it. No cheesy dialogues, crappy and flashy clothes, over the top makeup...the characters and their backgrounds have been kept in mind and that clearly shows.

And this show introduced me to one of the finest actresses I have ever watched, Sanam Saeed. Hats off to this girl!👏 She is bloody brilliant! And so are all the actors and characters- they are sketched to perfection.

Even though I can't understand the urdu that is used sometimes, the beauty that those word hold, magically reach me...I love love love Kashaf's diary entries! <3

And also the actress who plays Kashaf's mom- 👏 I just wanna give her a BIG Hug! The sorrows and miseries of the Murtuza girls and their mother has been brought up with such finesse, that I was left speechless with the amount of talent our neighbors in Pakistan have! We gotta have more of these kind of actors here too.😃

The dialogues, again, are just WOWWW! And the way the makers have integrated the woes of both Zaroon and Kashaf's family is intelligence used at its best!

As I mentioned before, I have loved Fawad Khan as Asher but his portrayal of Zaroon has left a powerful impact on me as a viewer. In spite of him playing a MCP kinda character, I just couldn't hate him. On the contrary, I was able to get into the mindset of Zaroon as a character...and could clearly see his perspective.

ZGH is one of those shows that I know will always stay with me. I am on the 20th episode now and I am so sad that it will end in the next 6 episodes. I just don't want it to end :(

I guess ZGH is the result of what excellent scripting and talented actors can do. A BIG CLAP FOR EVERYONE!👏

After such a long time I have found a show completely free of loopholes, unnecessary melodrama and foolishness. What a treat this show is!⭐️

Woof! I wrote a LOT...But I just wanted to say all these things...share your views people! I wanna fan-girl <3

-Shubhi :)

RESSS!! You're hereee yaaayyy

*EDITED*

First off, its SO good to see you here! 🤗

Coming to the point, what a lovely lovely post! 😳 I couldn't agree more with every single word you wrote up there. I whole-heartedly agree that ZGH has a certain charm that hooks people right from the first episode. But you watched 20 episodes in 2 days? Now that's an achievement 😆

And yes, the thing which I guess strikes the most is the realistic element in the drama from the flawed characters to the brilliant dialogues. And since you've watched Humsafar I would like to make some comparisons between Ashar and Zaroon 😳 Yes I LOVE Ashar! I love him with all my heart! Why? Because he's perfect! He's the perfect example of a doting husband but you know what makes me love Zaroon equally, is his flaws. He is such a realistic character from his actions to his thoughts 😃 And so is Kashaf. It is very natural to see her cribbing about her situation because any normal person would do that. Also I love how the characters evolve through the drama whether it is the main leads or the side characters 😳

And I know the feeling of never wanting it to end. I was so hooked to it that I would almost get depressed on Fridays after it stopped airing

I hope Zee shows Humsafar next! I'm so in the mood to watch it during the holidays but refraining myself so I can watch it with people on this forum 😆 Humsafar's dialogues are CLASSIC! For me, no other drama can beat Humsafar's dialogues 😛

Okay I'm assuming you'll be done with the other 6 episodes by tomorrow? Do let me know your views 😆

P.S. Saw an FB post where this girl had watched all episodes of ZGH in 2 days. Guess you're not the only one inflicted with the ZGH mania 😉

P.S.S. If you have trouble understanding Urdu, I'm here 😃 I've helped people on the QH forum as well 😆

Agreed to every word of TM!!
The awesome dialogues and the even more powerful BG music leaves you feeling very good inspite of the very stressful situations they are shown portraying!
But I beg to differ that Zaroon is an MCP.
He has just seen women in his life misuse the freedom they are getting and hence thinks the root cause of their unhappiness is the freedom. Its not entirely his fault that he thinks that.
We easily blame the guys when they make advances on the girls, but then there should definitely be a restriction on the girls themselves as well. A girl returning home walking via a desolate street is situational helplessness, she can't afford a vehicle and she does have to work late to make ends meet.
If she is teased or raped at that situation, its the guy to be looked down upon.
But its starkly different from deliberately going to an unsafe place where the girl is just going to party hard and knows very well that anything may happen to her. Think for yourself if its just the guy's fault there. He has all the right to judge that if the girl has come to that place at her will, she's THAT kind of a girl.
Even I go clubbing and drinking with friends, but then I am "choosy" about the place to go to, a place having decent crowd, a place secure enough with bouncers to ward off any potential harm, a place where I can enjoy independence without inviting trouble.
That's using my freedom and not misusing it!!
And what's with this returning late, just for the heck of it!! Atleast respect the "early to bed and early to rise" thing, if not anything else?
And then, not informing before leaving for a place? Don't your loved ones have a right to know where you are and if safe or not? I stay miles away from my family to work, but I do keep my mother updated just to keep her worries at bay!!
Don't bash me for this, I am a feminist to the core!! I do believe that girls must work, achieve like guys do, must have the right to go wherever she pleases like guys do and must have the right to make her own decisions. But there's a line needed to be drawn!
Its because of such girls that freedom to the fairer sex is looked down upon and not considered respectable, and the ones genuinely needing it suffer!
