This is why I couldn't stand how Ankita insulted her sister for not being worthy of Shashank's love, seriously? Ankita goes on a lying spree playing mahaan yet Mansi, Naren and Pari are the ones who are bad. All three are only reacting on what she told them!

I agree!! I think ANY wife would be uncomfortable with that kind of proximity between brother in law and sister in law. And with all those things said and done, anyone would start doubting. Its only human.

@sugar: It's NOT just about the lies. Mansi had started doubting Ankita even before the lying around was shown- as I said, the first doubts from Mansi's side were shown when Pari said it was Shshank's baby. At that time point Shashank had NOT lied about going to hospital with Ankita, neither had Ankita Shashank started going out together to hospital etc or planning by their own. At that point she did not even know shashank had kept his name as baby's father's name in the hospital register. That hadn't happened at that time. Rather at that time, Mansi had seen the pregnancy papers freshly and knew how many weeks pregnant ankita was and how she was so much in love with naren those weeks ago.

THAT is a major reason why people are upset with Mansi. She started doubting her sister bcos of outsiders whereas the proof of ankitaspregnancy with naren were staring at her in the face. Ankita had been silent, but till that point, she had not lied about her whereabouts or going out with shashanT, that hadn't even happened at that point. Nor had she said Naten was not the babys father, she always said that she was the one going to bring it up

No one says ankita shasjank did the right thing by lying, it was unnecessary and just created a mess, I said it in my post above as well. However, everything cannot be put on p the lies. They hadn't even begun at the point when mansi started doubting ankita. If I lie to my sister tmrw for some reason, nd she finds out, she won't jump to conclusions based on what some 3rd person told her. Rather she will confront me saying enough of your lies, I know you hv been lying so tell me the truth cos ppl are making up stuff behind ur back. The expectation on ankita is to always do the right thing, heck, I myself have said the lies were unnecessary. Then why can't other characters be criticised too? We can understand her situation and yes ankita and shashanks lies created a mess but no way does it mean mansi deserves to get a clean chit for all this.

And its perfectly alright if you don't understand or agree to some of our opinions. We can all have different opinions. This is just a debate.

Mansi was totally wrong in thinking that Shashank and Ankita had an affair behind her back and are having a baby together. It is the worst kind of character assassination that one can think of precisely because she has seen and known the two of them so intimately.

She needed to ask herself just why would they have an affair now, when nothing stopped them when Shashank wanted to marry Ankita initially and even Ankita was not disinclined to the idea, before his mother expressed her reservations to the alliance. Then there was no Naren in the picture.
She needed to ask herself why Ankita had put in so much effort to make Naren alright, if she had to do this. Did Ankita not take the help of Mansi and Shashank to get Naren out of the house. Why would she have done all that if she had wanted to have an affair with Shashank? Wouldnt it have suited both of them to have naren out of the way, if indeed they wanted to have an affair?
Instead she bacame inclined to believe the worst of both of them.
It is when a person is down and needs help that relationships are tested. When Mansi was going through the worst time of her life, it was Ankita and Shashank who gave her support. Shashank stood by her and married her even when his mother opposed him. Ankita put her married life at stake at that point. What made them do it? Just so that they can have an affair at the end? In hindsight, it looks like everything they did seems so obvious and normal and need not deserve even acknowledgement, let alone some kind of reciprocation is it?
Same is being said about Ankita's contribution to her siblings life. From the kind of poverty they saw, which made day to day living difficult and had Prashant doing menial jobs for providing for the family, instead of getting educated, to the present situation where they are getting good education and a minimum quality of life, everything happened just like that isnt it? Is good living not to be equated to comfortable living. But no, all this has no value at all. And what Ankita did needs no reciprocation at all. She was doing all this so that she could be mahaan. Not contributing to their welfare. She deserves nothing.
Mansi could have asked them directly what and why they are hiding things from her. She had every right to do so. And scold them badly for doing so and tell them what kind of speculations were going around.
But for her herself to arrive at the worst kind of conclusions about their relationship without giving them even one chance to explain, speaks a lot about her.
