Lovely post Rivs ๐. I'm watching the show for the first time and enjoying it and wouldn't like spoilers so thanks for telling ppl to not give them.
Kashaf is my fav woman. I'll explain the reasons later.
I like Sidra and Rafia's positive attitude towards life. They seem to have accepted their current situation even though they crib once in a while. They smile more often and try to find positives in negatives and try to get Kashaf to think that way too. Rafia is an independent woman who would've probably taken of the repairs of the house herself instead of asking for help from her husband but she also believes that the house and her daughters are as much his responsibility as they are hers and rightly so. Just because he has another family he cannot bid farewell to his first for no fault of theirs. I can't say much about the youngest daughter as they have hardly shown her. Will comment later when I get to know a lil more about her character.
Zara is what her mom is and has been. Independence for them means having their men at their beck and call. Zara does not think twice before making her man wait for 2 hours while she gets ready and has no regrets whatsoever. Similarly her mom has lived her life totally on her terms and her husband seems to have no say even where the kids are concerned. Asmara again seems like a woman who lives on her own terms. I'm indifferent towards these women right now and am taking them as just a small part of the big story.
The second wife is the typical old school woman who only believes that women should get married and not study further. Through her husband she is trying to force her thoughts on Rafia as though Rafia is going to listen to her. She had a mind of her own and wants her daughters married but only after they study further. Kashaf will probably give the second wife a piece of her mind if she ever meets her ๐.
Coming to Kashaf, although I don't like her negative attitude towards life (even if it stems from her past and her surroundings) I see tremendous growth in her and that's what I'm looking forward to. And I'm saying this even after finding her dialogues monotonous just in the second epi because of her attitude. I think her character is well written. She believes in her capabilities and wants to free her mother of all responsibilities when she starts earning because she has seen what her mom has gone through to bring her three daughters up and give them a good upbringing. In a way she wants to stop her mother from asking her father for financial help in future so that she can shoulder all responsibilities herself. This is the biggest positive that I see in Kashaf's character and her outlook towards life will change after she gets to know Zaroon. Zaroon's attitude will change too. I'm so looking forward to their interactions which I'm sure will be interesting and the highlights of the epi.
Last but not the least I totally loved the way Kashaf gave Zaroon back yesterday even though it sounded a bit rude ๐. It's gonna hit Zaroon hard once he gets to know why Kashaf behaved the way she did ๐. I'm already loving this tu tu main main and it's just about started.OMG just realised how much I typed. Samachaar samaapt huye ๐.
so nice to read your views. Especially because its a clean take as you have not watched it before. Hope you will share your thoughts regularly.
Episode #2 was another nice one. I too think that Kashaf's negativity is getting monotonous, but I really like the way they are showing the daughter's feeings towards their father.
There was one googly. :D When Farhan was asking Zaroon about how Univ was going. ๐...Classes had not yet begun, and Zaroon was finding it very hectic. I guess that was an editing goof up.๐
At the moment, everyones characters are at their extremes. Very mean, very ungrateful, very positive, very liberal, very "I don't care", very concerned...
Looking forward to Episode #3 tonight.
PS. and LOL at Samachar samapt hua! ๐
