Accident or design? | ||
Preity Zinta returned to Mumbai holding John Sealey's book Behind the Game in her hand. The book's plot revolves around cricket, and exposes the envy, pride, back-stabbing and politics. Wonder if she chose to display the book deliberately given the latest turn of events or it's merely a co-incidence. The plot of the book is quite intriguing. Tony de Silva, one of India's prominent cricketers retires at the height of his career. All he intends to do is settle down and hang loose, till he meets Leya Raman, an attractive woman, and the owner of a lucrative financial management company. Leya falls in love with Tony, but he has eyes only for her sister, Karma. Dejected and distraught, she swears revenge. Unable to stay away from the game, Tony starts a sports management company where he ropes in promising young cricketers and coaches them. Leya does all she can to destroy him and his company with the help of a wily lawyer and a local gangster. The actress is perhaps seeking inspiration from the plot to be strong and tough. |
