My Perspective on Voting Format

i have been reading this forum from a long time but have never posted anything. seing good singers like bhavin and amit go, i thought what is wrong with the public but upon further thinking i feel the voting format is not working for the show. instead of voting for your favorite contestant, public should be made to vote for the worst performance of the night. in that way contestants with a huge fan base (especially the ones on the basis of looks and x-factor) do not get undue advantage. to save their favorite, they would have to vote for somebody else (who might have sung better), and they would have to face their conscious to do that. Also people who generally do not vote would at least vote once for the worst performance, and in that way, the truly bad singer would go first. but it might financially not be a good thing for Sony because that would make their total vote count much lesser than what they have been getting with this format.

voting is mostly dependent on judgement...which is confusing because of alisha's comments

youre right in a sense...but wheres the fun in that? the joy of this show is to support your favorite and help him by votes 😛 the fun goes away if the format is changed

I agree, that they would never do that because of all the money they must get from people SMS'ing again and again and again. My idea (which I've mentioned elsewhere) is a "one man - one vote" system. All contestants, whether rich or poor would have equal footing then. That would eliminate people with more money who can get others to vote all night long. Oh well...this probably isn't gonna change anyway...so at least we can debate about a better system. Too bad it would never be implemented. 😕
