Like many members here, i too have my issues with the way the storyline in RR has progressed. But every once in a while, the CV's give you an episode that makes you forget all else and lose yourself in the beauty that is playing out onscreen. Yesterday was one such episode!
There were countless things to love; the chemistry, the acting, the set up, those dhak dhak moments and of course those total awww-worthy moments that had us all grinning at our screens! But through it all there was this one moment that stayed with me. So fleeting that one could easily have missed it, it was that moment when Rudra takes the time to observe Paro's face and acts accordingly.
The first kiss between a couple is always exciting and nerve-wrecking but when it's your first ever lip-lock, all those feelings are increased tenfold! That is exactly why Paro avoids it twice. Not because she doesn't want to but just to buy herself some time... after all his proximity wreaks havoc with her mind and body and she so cutely admits it too! 😆
Notice that moment directly after Rudra tells her to learn to stay quiet... why didn't he just kiss her then? He could have, they both wanted it. He didn't because he took the time to read Paro's face... he could tell she was nervous and wanted to put her at ease. So instead he kisses her eyelids, a loving gesture but not a passionate one. When she opens her eyes directly after, she seems a little surprised but understanding soon dawns in them. He's giving her time... time to get accustomed to the proximity, to the new level their relationship is heading in and to object if she feels she's not ready.
But Paro is ready now... so she let's him know in her own way... because saying it outright is not something she would probably have the courage to do right now. So she cups his face and kisses him on the forehead, her seal of approval about what is taking place between them. It's all the encouragement he needs, and so he brushes the hair away from her neck and caresses it with his breath... teasing her... only this time she willingly reciprocates... by grabbing his collar and standing on his feet ensuring she closes the gap between them...☺️
Those were some sizzling hot and aesthetically shot scenes and thus the meaningful gestures behind them could easily have been lost, but it didn't escape my eye and made what i was watching so much more beautiful. Why was it such a special moment? The answer is simple...
What is love without respect? Nothing... right? And what better way is there to respect your partner than by putting their needs before your own desires? That is essentially what happened in the above scene and that is why i loved it the most! ❤️
