Some films might have flopped 'cos they were ahead of it times or got a bad release.

Mention films that you think would have done well if released another time.

Andaz Apna Apna - Aamir said it had a poor release with no pre-publicity. But its a cult classic now. I reckon it'd have been a BB if released today.

Swades - Fans probably didn't expect such a film from SRK during that era. He was mainly doing romantic dramas. Seeing films like Barfi and BMB succeeding, maybe it'd have done better in multiplex era. I love every scene of this film, but many found its length an issue so better editing could have helped.

I totally agree with two films you have mentioned...

Besides that I feel if Tere Naam was released, it would have had potential to do well considering Salman's starpower has been at peak for while unlike time it had released...

I think Hum saath saath hain would have done well :)

it Din't fare well at the BO bu is one of the most loved and watched movies now :)

Katrina's debut film ... as per it's director and producers, that film was way too ahead of his time.

On a serious note, Karz (Rishi Kapoor-Tina Munim) was a flop when it was released a few decades back. Subhash Ghai (the director of the film) said that people were not able to believe that Ravi Kiran's character re-incarnated as Rishi Kapoor. Until then, the re-incarnation in films usually had the same actor playing the before and after character.

The film flopped then but it became very popular later when it was telecasted on Doordarshan.

ANDAAZ APNA APNA- Irrespective of it's subsequent Cult status, this is one would've made lot of money today.

Esp in such Humshakal & Himmatwaala times. 😆

2.) Dil Se- With off-beat & unique movies like Queen & Highway being lauded, Dil Se ,which was an exceptional movie for it's time, would be very well received today.

The songs are all little diamonds.. Esp Dil Se. ❤️
