Yes she is.
1) She always lies to everyone at the Chawl, her husband and Pakhi.
2) She never scolded Pakhi for calling her mom by her name. She never tried to make her accept her mother. At dinner last night Pakhi never acknowledged Neetu. The couple also only took blessings from her. Kamla enjoys Pakhi's sole affections.
3) The expression of pride when Daadi was praising her about never changing. She loves to feel important.
4) When Vithal came home and saw Raghav at dinner she told him "she is never wrong" What an ego.
5) She changed the focus of her prayers so she can get "HER" answer.
6) I believe she does things for fame. She took in the Kapoors to show Raghav and his mom. She went to see about Daadi because ONLY SHE can cure her from the stroke.
There are so much more to her. She is the most disliked character in television history. The creators can say and do what they want. In my opinion she is a negative character.
