These shows had class, simplicity, elegance and most importantly, novelty.
My Sundays used to be incomplete without Shaktimaan, and both me and dad were hooked on to Malgudi Days.

Apart from these two, I watched Vikram Aur Vetaal, Rajni, Suraag, Alif Laila and Mitti Ki Rang.

anyone remember the serial Margarita? with Milind Soman? that was such a sweet romance.

Miss those days when we had sensible complete stories. not like the unending soaps on air now.

There are many more shows. Neev, Kachchi Dhoop, Tarang and other shows from Doordarshan. The shows back than carried so much soul, meaning & weight. I still keep looking for many of my faves online... ahh those were the magical days ❤️

Wish I could show Neev to my kids. It was such a good show.

I have a hazy memory of a show called Pachpan Khambe Lal Deewarein which had a very young Aman Verma who had a limp.
