Sony channel changing form?

Neither do I.. But at the present level of quality I am not willing to watch CID. It was far far better in 2012 when it was bi weekly or even tri for a few days when there was Rajat.I used to complain back then but the standard has become terrible in the last 4-5 months. Trio used to be present. But now they are rarely to be seen.

As GD said I get this sick feeling they'll make it a daily. It has already become soapish...the only time trio come is when there's an OTT drama. They'll make it one big crime-soap. An officer phasao case running in the background with trio occasionally showing their faces and unnamed lampposts handling the investigative PK stories. This channel can shut down in that case like NDTV Imagine did.

About Yudh...the new channel is not yet launched. So they have to show it on this channel. Once that channel starts, I guess shows like Yudh will go there.

I get a feel they might make it 1/2 hour 5 days a week..that'll be better.

well did'nt get it.It's a thriller,so it'll stay on Sony.Shows like CID,CP,KBC are still on Sony.So the channel which might shut down is Sony 2 and not Sony.

It's not like that...this Sony has an image of being a Crime-only channel.If they show soaps here they are not really succeeding. Even BALH is shutting down and Ram Kapoor has quit - I read in TOI. So soap makers are reluctant to air their shows on Sony.

Sony is therefore creating this new channel with no crime shows and only soaps. So it will get TRPs purely due to soaps. The soap audience which till now perceived Sony as a Crime channel will at least peep in to look at this new channel.

hmm but i guess sony knows their crime shows are doing good to them and will not tamper with it...I hope so.🤔 And for the soaps part, Sony never has created any records in viewership.It runs on CID, and CP no other reason which would explain the full day cid reruns once again.

In my opinion, this is a terrible idea.

Firstly, I'm a person who watches both CID and serials. In fact, I don't mind watching serials. And making a separate channel for serials and keeping one of CID, Crime Patrol, and the likes is not convenient.

Secondly, the second channel won't get many views from oversees for a few months, or even a few years. My cable provider only provided 4 Hindi channels when we switched, and it recently added Life Ok, Star Plus, and Star Gold. My family didn't get these few new channels because it costs a lot. Some cable providers added these channels plus Colors before however, but it doesn't make sense to just switch over like that. Andmany people are not going to spend extra money on a channel when in this day and age, you can find videos of the shows online.

i totally agree with u here

i too am watching cid just for the sake of formality and actually in all hopes of seeing abhijeet onscreen

yeah the standard have totally dropped or i should say there's no standard left

but for this somewhere the fans are also responsible

if we leave some of the fans (only some) all have always supported the OTT stuff, daya-shreya, abhijeet-tarika..

on going out of IF u will see how much people are crazy for these things

for them each episode is fabulous
