How many among us dont choose by the looks????

ALL OF US DO!

I am not very good looking my self and have always found tht ppl do discriminate on the bases of looks. Watching ii3 wid ma family, we always noticed tht despite singing so well Smita was never considered a competitor by anyone. My dad asked "how come no one included Smita in their competitors list?" I did not reply but deep in my heart i knew the answer and looking in smitas eyes i knew tht even she knew the answer. the sto y she was inthe bottom 4 in the first round and why today. when she was asked the reason today, she cudnt control and let the exact answer out. at tht particular moment i felt as if she is talking for all the not so good looking ppl out there and when javed ji fought for her i cried. Really, are good looks the only asset one can have today? has the world become so heartless? If yes, then i am thankful tht at indiaforums my posts take the place of my face and i dont have to confront anyone, coz if tht wud have happened i wud have already been secluded.

i dont go by looks, but yes i do go by personality. if smita was cheerful, i would have liked her...emon, shifa they are not goodlooking, but they are attractive by their personality. its how u carry yourself.
and also if someone is talended and has a good personality, its the one who gets my vote.

in all previous comps-be it fg/ii/sa re ga ma pa= i have always gone for singer ova looks/personality

it makes me upset wen looks win ova talent and as a consequence i think many competitions the winners have been laughable as they have won for looks not voice because of this mentality. this in tuen has turned wat could be credilble talent finding programmes into a laughing stock..not to mention loss of world class talent

i agree with confocal...i go for persoanlity too not just singing....looks don't matter that much cuz they can be done up with make-up and hair style and clothes and what not....lekin a person's base personality, their interior make-up can not change very easily...and it's just that smita is not even confident in her singing then how is anyone else gonna be confident in her singing.....and like confocal pointed out emon is not that good looking but evryone luvs him anyway!!!

If it was true than Harshida and Vartika would not have been out today. Considering the fact that Harshida was outstanding in her last performance. Shifa although not good looking, I always liked her because of her confidence and belief. What you feel is what you are. None of the creation of HIS is bad. You just have to realise that, build some confidence and everything would look beautiful. Its well said that Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. Smita needs that realisation and she can do wonders. When you are choosing someone you do not want to go there and look at a sad face singing an item number (which she might have to do if she wins). She would have to wear that smile and confidence over and over. Once again world smiles with you but leave you to cry alone so better smile.

i felt really bad abt smita 😭 i would definately go wit voice. n i think that she is the best singer in female. she rox!!

i partly agree with Smita.there are ppl who would've voted for her if she were prettier.
But not everyone votes based on looks..
So its not right to generalize i feel.

Smita needs to stop feeling sorry for herself and bring back the confidence and spirit that brought her to this stage in the competition. 👍🏼 Sometimes the look of confidence is enough. We are guilty of judging by looks at one point or another, regardless of how we look.

Like the eloquent JA saab said in one of the episodes, don't get depressed over the criticism...take it as a challenge and fight back! 👏 People are always going to criticize or judge you for one thing or another. Confidence is key.

well in smitas case she is participating in ii she smiles very rarely and always has the gloom on the face as someone said earlier shifa is not tht good looking but she is always cheerfull and pleasant and we tend to like them so if someone always stays sad and tensed it ll be hard to like someone she shud def change tht and be a lil more sweet and cheerfull to be liked by ppl moreeeee
but as judges said she has her voice as an asset definetely
