did aaliya break her promise

Anyways, so zain obviously wasn't expecting aaliya to go visit zubair and he seemed hurt that she did. but this is not my question.
my question is whether aaliya broke her own promise that she seemingly made to herself and zain. now you all wondering what promise?
when surraiya accused her of having an affair with zubair and she was crying in her room, she promised that she will never talk or meet with zubair. well that didn't last long.
when zubair texted her, I didn't think much about it because it was zubair doing it and not aaliya. so I was quite surprised that she went to meet zubair. she could have told zain first, that she knows she made a promise to not meet or talk to zubair but she just wanted to know the truth from him, blah! blah! blah!
I am just saying it, because it's so unlike aaliya.

I dont think that was a promise promise, more of what she just said at the moment, Also, she went to meet him because in her opinion he is not guilty, and she will prove him innocent, if he is.

i am just glad she didn't let zain believe that she had gone to see her parents and instead told him the truth of where she had been.

Hoping to see who really was involved in this whole thing to kill usmaan. I still feel we might see bobby back. they didn't touch on whether she is still in jail or not
