Would serve Raghvendra right if Nikumbh kicked Yamini out of the play

Note, I wrote it would serve Raghvendra right, not Yamini.

Yamini needs to ensure that her father doesn't make her late like this again.

Raghvendra is forgetting one thing, that what he's encouraging is unprofessional behavior and if the director makes that known to the media (and they've already started covering the play as seen in the precap), Yamini will suffer even more damage to her reputation as Neha had already accused her of being unprofessional. In Raghvendra's mind, the play, the director and the theatre holds no significance, so of course he would be so high handed and full of himself with no regard for the others. But truth is Nikukmb has gotten a good response from the cultural festival, which is why the principal gave him the college play. And while Nikukmb may not be a star, he wouldn't need to be one for the media and public to latch on to his complaints and allegations.

I'm not saying Nikumbh would air it out in the media; I'm saying Raghvendra is being too egotistical, and someone else in Nikumbh's position may not have qualms in doing so.

He Liks, your wish has come true today, though for a wrong reason and tomorrow he will say sorry.

Yes, this is sensible.
Raghavendra, as a Father, has still not shown any paternal instincts generally - have missed a couple of episodes, so he might have been a Model Father in those.

But as of yet, I am not liking much of what I am seeing of him. He is a pucca businessman, and Yamini is his pawn. He is planning Yamini's every move keeping in mind how it is going to benefit him eventually, and not because he is over protective or over enthusiatic about her career. In fact, if Yamini's not having a career suits him and his business suits him fine, I have a feeling he would board her up in the House itself.

His treatment of his wife is pathetic (as witnessed yesterday). There is nothing wrong in preparing the tea/ breakfast one day imperfectly.

All these affects Yamini. As the only child, she is only aware of the high expectations that her Father has from her, and that's why she wishes to go to any lengths to fulfil his wishes. Had the green dress not been spoiled by the ink/ paint that Nikumb accidentally spilled, I am sure she would have turned up to that event, wearing that dress.

Yamini is not aware of the business-like thinking process of his Father, though she is well aware that her success/ failure does impact/ affect her Father's business.

Hence, if Yamini actually is thrown out of the Show, in its finality - it will be a blow to Raghavendra. But the confidence level of Yamini will further tank. This is an area which needs a lot of consideration, and once there is a confidence boost up, Yamini will flower into a beautiful butterfly. She is in a metamorphosis stage right now.

And Nikumb could well be the Catalyst.

@poetic, the narrator specifically mentioned that till now (till the boutique and dress situation) Raghvendra has never let his business affect Yamini's career, and has always put her career over everything else.

But it is clear that the flyover affected him considerably and he didn't bother to consider anything else. And though he told Yamini that he's more upset that her image is ruined, which I do be believe he's upset about that, it is clear that the flyover dream was a major factor in his anger.

I don't think he is pushing Yamini's career for his business but rather he's pushing his own dream and expectations of Yamini. This singing career is what he wants. It's his dream. He's never bothered whether Yamini wants this or not.

There are a few times when he is somewhat a bit considerate, like in the first episode. After her performance, he came to take her to meet the minister as he and his family and party he came with want to take photos with her. Yamini wanted a break, and seeing her weary state, he allowed her a few minutes of rest. (I did say somewhat and only a bit considerate.)

Thanks KK.
As I mentioned, I have missed a couple of episodes and hence the understanding has wavered - this is probably a sign of a good Show, in terms of being unpredictable, till date.

Let us see how things pan out - we are witnessing an interesting turn of events over here.

Earlier I thought Yamini's father wants to reach his ambition through his daughter. Lots of people do that. But this seems more like power play to me now. He loves his child but he doesn't love anybody quite as much as his ego which is the size of our country's population. In a way, again, Yamini's fame is the fuel of his ego. And a stark contrast is his timid and fearful daughter. It's not nice, the way she listens to everybody. If I were so popular and my father was like that, I'd walk outta his house faster than he could spell my name. 🤡

I agree, it's more about his own ego and fulfilling it.

As for Yamini, I realized while watching Wednesday's episode that she doesn't even have a phone. He is an obsessive control freak with her.
