I think the accident was caused by Adi, he feared and drove the car away, which was seen by Mihir or somehow Mihir comes to know that Adi caused the accident. So Mihir takes the car from Adi and gives it for repair. When Ishita called the person who was with Tandon, he did not take the call(it was Mihir). Eventually, all the fingers will point towards Mihir. But actually Mihir is saving Adi from the case. This my POV.
