And not the question you are asking, because it is a question that arises out of low self esteem women have about their action- and doubt.

And the word 'tamasha'? The only person who created more than a 'tamasha' was Ness.

We need to change our thinking as women, for society to change and for the way we are perceived.

Someone was abusive towards her, verbally assaulted and threatened her. She has a right to defend herself and did so.

I don't know the details. I don't know who is right or wrong. She stood for her rights. Now it is up to authorities to investigate, find the truth and act accordingly.

No. I was for a court verdict, I still have questions, I will even say certain words used will not outrage me. I have a right to say that.

BUT here is the thing YMMV as in Your Mileage May Vary as in each of us have different tolerance levels. Things that scare me will not scare Preity and vice versa. What I 100% believe is she was feeling threatened, do not care what words were used or gestures were used. She felt threatened. So she had every right as a citizen and a tax paying citizen especially to use the police to feel safe.

In America, she could have gone further and asked for a restraining order where Ness would not be able to contact her or come within a certain distance of her. I do not know if India has that, but was Preity right to file an FIR and did she have a right to do so. Absoleffingutely. To say that is a tamasha is BS, BS, BS of the highest order.
