He didn't fail in the movies. Pardes did really good. But you see all the other banners were not as good and had he gor real good storylines like DDLJ, KKHH, and such then he would surely have given SRK the run for his money.

And look at the TV, SRK too started here and so is Apu. His Armaan sir is a very famous character in bollywood too!!! 😉

Apu didn't fail! He held his own against SRK in Pardes, and he was BRILLIANT! The next few films that fell in his lap however, weren't the best of the lot, but he still did justice to his characters. He didn't fail as an actor in them - the movies as a whole failed due to lack of substance. Otherwise, he's played minute side characters that were easily overlooked, so he went unnoticed. But I wouldn't use the word "failed".

And as far as I'm concerned, there couldn't have been a better Armaan Sir than Apurva Agnihotri...and there can't be a better Dev Pratap Singh either. I feel these roles were made for him. And JJKN was no less than a bollywood hit itself! He's quite famous as the extremely handsome, hot-tempered Armaan sir, and I hope that Dev will bring him the same recognition.

Apu is a brilliant, diverse actor, who could give any bollywood star a run for his money! 👏 👏 👏

I JUST LOVE HIM TO PEICES!!!! 😳

apu never failed in films..it just that he didn't got right films in his lap when he needed otherwise we all know that he's a marvellous actor😛

n i think in a way watever happened was gud cuz if he wasn't there on small screen then we wouln't had got to see apu as Armaan sir n Dev Partap singh....we would had missed so muchh

Apu never failed. He is a true success story. No one can forget him in Pardes, he was exceptional! As luck would have it he did not get the best film projects in his kitty there after but even in those roles he always outshone the other actors. Hai i remeber him in Kasoor and i was rooting for him to get the girl. 😳

JJKN is a iconic hit and well-known in B-town too. Armaan Suri gave him the recognition he deserved and he will always be loved for that character. I agree Payal, these roles were made for him. I hope DPS becomes as legendary as Armaan. Apu simply rocks! 😳 👏
