You have some interesting and relevant points, which I wanted to address.
I don't see why sexual orientation should matter in how a celebrity is packaged. Matt Bomer has been packaged as a hot heartthrob to women. That status has not changed one bit since he came out. Matt Bomer the man, who prefers to have sex with men and is in relationship with a man is separate from Matt Bomer the celebrity and the characters he plays. When his sex appeal is packaged and promoted to heterosexual women they are selling an idea' or a fantasy' of Matt Bomer, not Matt Bomer himself. So if Tiger Shroff or Sid Malhotra are being promoted as heartthrobs it shouldn't matter if they are gay or not. If you are attracted to someone their sexual orientation does not change your attraction. Only thing it changes is your probability of being with them. Also not everyone wants to be with everyone they are attracted to.
I think a lot of people including myself don't genuinely care about sexual orientation. Some people like/dislike people for acting abilities. Many others are swayed by sex appeal. But an outing as gay won't make us call shenanigans or change our opinion. No one is trying to be a higher being or appear more evolved. In fact sometimes it is more primal. Sexuality matters and that's what makes women fantasize about gay men, lesbians about straight women. It is not as if we are actually going to date, marry or fcuk the celebrity.
Curiosity is all fine. Curiosity doesn't mean hate. But curiosity does not mean you pass your speculations as a factual statement. It doesn't mean you call out a man who states to be straight as gay. In fact outing is uncool. Speculate what you will but allow people their basic right and privacy to come out on their own terms.
