He is young, dashing, passionate about acting and is the new heartthrob of the TV industry. He is none other than the talented young actor Param Singh, who plays the character of Randhir Shekhawat on Channel V's most loved youth show Sadda Haq. He is totally opposite to the character he plays onscreen, Param is humble, sweet and he will charm you with just a smile, well his crazy fan following just proves that in just a short span, he has made a big place in his fan's heart.TheTellyTimes got in touch with the charming actor and we asked him a lot of questions, which he answered with a big smile. One word that describe you?
Honest
If not an actor, you would have been?
Probably unemployed (smiling), well honestly I haven't really thought what I will become, when I was 15-16 just used to play and was very carefree, after that went to London to complete my masters. So didn't really think of what I will do in future.
One side effect of being a celeb?
I am a foodie but can't really eat as much I want, as in this profession you have to look good and fit. So the only side effect for me is this only yaar (Smiling).
Which side of Randhir you love portraying the most? Is it angry, jealous, sad or romantic?
As an actor, I love portraying all the sides be it angry or any other shades as if you just play one shade, you will get bored. It gives you variety as an actor. I love portraying all of these.
How is Param similar or different to Randhir?
Similarity is that Param is passionate just like Randhir. Randhir is passionate about engineering and I am very much passionate about acting. Other similarity is just like Randhir always stands for right things even I am the same in real life. Difference is I am not really like Randhir, not at all that angry young man, I am actually a nice guy (smiles) though I am moody but not that I will be rude all the time.
How difficult it is to portray angry young man and so egoistic, as in real life you are totally shy and sweet? How do you manage that?
Well being an actor you have to portray all the characters, you have to do so many different things, irrespective of what you are in real life. I was actually very shy earlier, I seriously used to run away if any girl used to talk to me (smiling). So yeah being an actor you just have to give your best and portray anything that your are asked to do. I am very passionate about acting so I really work hard to do whatever I am being asked to do.
What is the main quality a celeb should have to maintain his popularity and also a connection with his fans?
He should be a good human, that is the main thing honestly. You have to respect people and be kind to them, and always be well spoken. You may be good looking or you must be a brilliant actor but if you are not a good human being, it doesn't matter really. So one should always try to be a better human being.
Any actor in Bollywood or in TV industry that you look forward to work with in future??
Honestly there are so many good actors around, Although I don't really have favourite and all but more than picking an actor, I would want to work with directors like Rajkumar Hirani, He is just fab. I want to work with someone like him who is so talented and makes amazing movies.
Your favourite all time movie?
It would be Terminator and Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander
Favourite cuisine?
I love Chinese, I can actually have chinese all day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But since I workout, I really can't have it but yeah once in a while I cheat for one day and have chinese. I just love chinese cuisine!
Your favourite song?
I listen to DeadMau5 and hindi song that I am liking a lot these days is Muskurane ki wajah tum ho from City Lights. It's also a beautiful song.
Your Favourite holiday destination?
It will be Goa.
What is your motto in life?
Just want to good work, earn money and live life to the fullest. I just want to have amazing time with my family. I just don't want to work, work and work, but I like to have chilled out life, want to live life and want to do so much for my family.

Intelligent!
In real life would Param mind falling in love with someone like Sanyukta?
Yeah I wouldn't actually mind. Sanyukta is a strong woman, She is sweet and someone who is just following what she wants to achieve. But honestly I don't really think all of this right now, Time hi kaha hai yaar (laughs), it's just shooting, shooting and shooting.
How is your bonding with all your co-stars of Sadda haq?
We have an amazing bond really, we have lots of fun. We catch up in like 10 days, we go out and just have amazing time. We have lunch together in my room, and just pull eachothers leg. We are like house on fire! Ankit is also my roomie so we both have amazing time together as he is somewhat similar to me. So it's just amazing to have all of them in this show, as we all have amazing time when we all are together. Bhut masti majak karte hai sab milkar, so it's great.
Any crazy fan encounter you recall?
Ohh yes I remember once one fan came all the way from Hyderabad to our sets just to see me with her father, when she was going back, she just touched my feet. It actually made me so emotional that I actually had tears in my eyes and I told her that the only person you should be giving so much of respect by touching feet, it should be your father. Honestly yaar, who am I? It actually made me emotional.
One word for your fans??
One word will be Thank you. Honestly the love and support they show, what all they do, I just can't thank them enough. They send gifts for us and spend so much time sending messages, tweeting and all and most of them are students.It actually means a lot. I honestly can't reply to all but through this interview just want to thank them for all they do. I read their tweets and messages and feel really touched. Thank you is a small word honestly in front of their love.
Suppose if tomorrow the world is going to end, what will be your last wish?
Well I will spend the time with my family, with my dog, may be just chilling, eating or may be with my mom just lying on her lap and she giving me a head massage.
Friendship or love, what is more important to you?
Right now its friendship.
Any moment from your past that you want to relive?
Yeah my time in london when I was doing MBA there, what fun it was! So yeah would want to study again as would get a chance to be in London, as I had an amazing time there.
what's you life like offscreen?
Well I lead a very boring life, shoots for 14 hours, goes to gym and then sleeps. So this is what my life is offscreen. Honestly its not easy to do a TV show (Smiling).
Define your dream woman?
I don't know yaar really but yeah I want someone who love my family, who respect the fact that I am an actor and I am just a human, I don't know but few people just have notions about actor that they are going to be like this or that. So someone who is understanding, who just understand I am doing a job, who gives me space, someone who is matured, intelligent and independent. And yeah a cute face would also be good (Smiles).But honestly right now don't have time.
You have such crazy fan following, does it add any kind of pressure to you to just deliver what they are looking from you?
No pressure at all, It just motivates me. I just want to do better and better because I wasn't expecting so much appreciation in 6 months, It's been just 6 months that I am in this industry, that I am doing this show, so yeah I am really overwhelmed, it just encourages me to do better work.
Your dream role??
Joker of The Dark Knight, I love him. Unfortunately he is no more but he was just superb. He was just 30 years old, but what a superb actor really! Also something like Al Pacino films, If you have seen his work, He is just superb as in the characterization they do for a film and the body language. I just want to do different roles, different characters. Obviously I don't look like a character but whatever input I can give to my character, I will do that.
Lastly any message for your fans who love you immensely and crazily?
Yeah the message would be I love you 2 3 4 (Laughs) I am so happy that you guys love me, you all have a good choice (Smiles) well kidding but I honestly want all my fans to be happy in their life and love me forever. I am trying to entertain you all, I really wish I could meet you all, whosoever is coming to the sets, I meet them, I talk to them in malls. It's not possible to meet everyone but just continue to love me, I am trying to do my best and thank you so much. Thanks for your time, for tweets, for your VM's, comments, for the letters, for the gifts, Thank you so much really. I feel wow when people do so much for me really, because these days no one has time yaar, and these people they do so many things, they all are college students who don't have that much budget and still they do send me gifts and all.
