Chapter 32:

Taani jabbed her fork into the fruit salad and put the fork in her mouth and chewed the little cube shaped pieces of apple, pineapple at a time. Rey took a sip of tea and eyed fruit salad and then, Taani. He was very surprised when he saw her breakfast' which turns out to be less than a snack. He looked at Taani with concern.

"Taani, do you want anything to eat, more?" Rey asked. Taani shook her and jabbed the fork with some remaining last few pieces and put them into her mouth. She took her time to chew it and then turned to Rey.

"Rey, don't worry. My stomach is full now." Taani assured him. But, Rey eyed her suspiciously. He couldn't believe that her appetite is this low. Not that he expected to eat her three medium sized burgers. He actually don't care, if she eat it. He is only concerned about her health. Rey eyed her again.

"Taani, I am warning you again. Eat some more. I don't want you to get sick." He used his bossy tone.

Taani glared at him playfully. " Don't use that boss tone on me. I said, I am full. I can't eat after this." She looked down at the bowl, she had just finished and then shook her head. Rey sighted asked waiter, to place the bill.

"I am really going to keep an eye on you." Rey said, seriously. But, Taani just giggled. Many people got surprised when they how less she can consume. Even, her Bhai scolds her about it. But, her stomach just can't take in after a limit.

Rey shook her and gave tip to waiter. He helped Taani to set her up on her feet and they walked out of the restaurant. They walked on the side of the road. The wind was blowing happily in the atmosphere. The surrounding was cold and little wet. Taani rubbed her arms and wrapped them around her torso. Rey pulled her to him and put his hand around her shoulder, making her smile.

They finally entered the lobby. As people eyed them, Taani quickly pulled away from Rey. They both entered the elevator and waited for the floor they wanted to arrive.

After Taani went to sleep, Rey got back to his room and slept. In morning, Taani said, she didn't want to eat American breakfast. So, they decided to go to hotel just near by their hotel.

Ding!

The doors slide back and hide into the walls. Taani and Rey walked till Taani's room came into the view. Taani was about to swipe the roomcard when Rey pulled her towards him.

"Rey..." Taani gasped. " What if someone sees.." She eyed the corridor. Rey chuckled and leaned. He brushed the locks falling on her eyes back, softly and a small lazy smiled formed on his lips.

" Let them see. They will get entertained you know.. " He said in teasing manner. "Shut up." Taani slapped him on his chest.

He chuckled and pecked her soft cheeks, making them tint with slight pink shade.

"Okay, listen we need to go through some documents and Maya, You and me will be discussing your presentation also. So, meet me in my room at 8:30am sharp. I don't like my secretary when she is late." He smirked and looked down at Taani.

"Ohhh really.." She nodded, in understand. "Hmmm.." She tapped her chin and looked up, making Rey smiled at the glance of her deep, cute dimples formed on her cheeks. Then, she looked at him and sighted dramatically. " I won't be late. You know, my boss is really Khadoos'." She smirked as Rey glared at her.

"I wasn't khadoos, you were the one who always used to irritate the hell out of me." Rey accused. Taani narrowed her eyes on him and hissed.

"oh really... I irritate you. Means, I am irritating?" Taani hissed and tried to remove his arms around her. Rey groaned and tightened arms around her.

"Yes, you are very irritating.. tomato." Rey muttered. Taani gasped and hit his shoulder with her fist. Rey chuckled and pulled her towards him. He leaned and buried his face in her hair, inhaling her sweet scent. Taani was struggling to get out of his arms, but couldn't do anything.

"Yes, you are irritating, tomato.. But, a very beautiful, irritating tomato." He murmured against her hair while Taani stopped her struggling and looked up at him. She bite her lips, but suddenly frowned.

"I am not tomato!" She exclaimed, earning a chuckle. Rey shook his head and kissed her nose.

"Be present at 8:30." He winked and quickly removed his arms and walked to his room. Taani couldn't help but smiled at their so-much-mature fight. She shook her head and unlocked her door.

Swayam tired to ring Taani but, she wasn't picking up. That was really frustrating for him. He didn't hear her or seen her recent pic nearly 9 months.

He finally sent a message to her.

He was now more firm on planning of kidnapping her. Sharon shook her head, amused. But, she smiled at the sight. Swayam loved his baby sister and care for her so much. It makes her heart melt for him. Sharon walked towards him and hugged him from behind, her hands around neck. She ran hand through his hair. Swayam sighted and leaned into his touch. Swayam never liked , when someone messes his hair. The only exceptional cases are- Taani and Sharon.

Taani..

He shook his head and focused on Sharon. She tugged his hair little, making him scrunch his nose up. She giggled near his ear. Swayam sighted and kissed her knuckle and tightened her arms around him.

" You will get to talk with her. She must be in work. Don't be like a grumpy child." Sharon scolded softly. Swayam sighted and nodded his head.

Taani knocked on Rey's door, waiting patiently. Since, today they were going to work in Rey's room. Taani chose to wear some casual.

A brown v-neck sweater and a blue faded skinny jeans. She looked up as the door cricked open. But, she quickly looked away as she took in Rey's profile. Rey was half naked, only a towel was wrapped around his waist. Taani didn't looked up at him. Suddenly, she found ground very interesting. She observed the color of the carpet.

Rey looked at Taani confused as she didn't look up, she was looking down. He ran his hand through his damp air, making him realize. He looked down at himself. He pressed his lips together to stop the laugh which was threatening to come out.

"Taani.. come in. We can't work on doorstep." He whispered.

"Ummm.. Yeah.." Taani murmured under her breath. She took one step inside but suddenly, Rey stood up in front of her. Taani's fingers played nervously with the corner of the file she was holding. Though, she was avoiding looking at him. She had quickly stolen a glance at him.

His skin was sunkissed, stomach was flat... She even knew he had packs. She felt it whenever he hugged her or pulled her closer. She could feel it that her cheeks were flaming red. Rey couldn't help but chuckled at her flushed state. He leaned and touched his forehead to hers and with one hand, he reach behind her and pushed the door and closed it. He put his hand on her shoulder, making her gulp.

Taani loved the smell. It was really refreshing, mint with herbs. Rey's cold forehead was resting on hers, making her warm. She lifted her eyes to meet with his amazing deep brown orbs. They gleamed happily at her. Rey tucked a strand behind her ear, touching her cheek in process very softly.

"Well, Like what you see?" He murmured as he neared towards her lips. Taani closed her eyes as his breath fanned her lips. She gulped, silently. Rey stroked her cheekbone softly with his fingers. Taani could feel the blood rushing trough veins, her spine was experiencing those shattering electric currents caused by his simple touch.

Rey angled his head and there was a mere inch between their lips. He looked down at those lips, he can't never forget their softness and he can't get enough of them. Rey looked up at Taani and found her with closed eyes. His eyes roamed on her face, taking every feature of her angelic face that occurs in his dreams, making him smile in his sleep.

The soft curls, framing her face. He loved to feel them. Rey very softly rubbed his tip of nose to hers, making her mouth little open, making him groan. He leaned and brushed his lips with hers. Taani was clutching the file, but now the hold loosened.

Rey moved at the corner of her lips and pressed his lips on them, making her forget of everything. Making her forget how to breath. Her chest heaved up as his lips teased her. The file in her hand escaped from the hold and dumped on the floor, making her snap out of it. Rey frowned and leaned back. He looked down and found file was lying on the floor, some of the papers were out of them. He cursed mentally to their work. Taani quickly leaned and started taking papers which were scattered out of the file. She quickly put them in file and stood up.

"You get change, I will wait in living room." Taani muttered and quickly walked past Rey.

He just stood there blank, blinking at the door. He groaned and closed his eyes and shook his head, making his way towards the wardrobe to get changed.

Taani sighted and typed furiously on the keyboard of laptop. They had been working for 3 hours, staright. It wasn't awkward at all. Rey came back with fully dressed and kissed her on her cheek, before starting the work.

Taani scrolled down as she checked the names of employees of RS ind. With data base. They needed some candidate for the project. Out of curiosity, she clicked on the co-partners of RS ind.

She scrolled as many known names appeared on the screen. But, one name caught her attention.

Maya Rai.

Taani tilted her head and bite her lips. If Maya is co-partner why she is working . She looked at Rey and bite her lips. He was so much engrossed in his work, his eyes were moving from right to left, reading the content and his calculation was going in his mind. Taani didn't felt like she should disturb him. She averted her focus from him and was about to look through the names..

"Taani, anything you wanted to ask?" Rey asked but his eyes fixed on the laptop in front of him. He waited for her answer.

Taani leaned back and played with the hem of her sweater.

"Who is Maya, Rey? " Taani asked, in low voice. Rey let the question sink , then he frowned as he looked at the laptop screen. He shook his head slightly and turned towards Taani.

"What?"

Confusion was all over his face. "I mean, you never introduced properly?" Taani said. Rey raised an eyebrow and then sighted.

He shrugged and looked back at his computer. "Well, Maya is our co-partner and our family relationships are also good. We kind of grew together.. in childhood days." Rey chuckled and shook his head as he remembered something.

" You know.. at some point My parents and hers were thinking to tie up us in marriage..."

That caught Taani's attention. Rey looked up as he was about to continue but when he looked at Taani's shocked face, he shut his mouth.

"You were supposed to get married to her??" Taani asked in hushed tone. Rey shook his head and groaned.

"No.. Taani. We were just children at that time. And, I see her as my sister... " Rey shrugged and turned to his work again. Rey leaned back and nervously glanced at the screen which was still showing Maya Rai's name. A sudden disappointment was running through her. Though, she knew Maya actually supported their relationship. Taani bite her lips as her mind drifted to different things. Rey sighted as he looked at Taani. He shouldn't have said that. He stood up from his place and stood in front of her. She wasn't aware that he was in front of her.

He kneeled down in front of her and placed his hand on her knees, making her jump.

"Rey!" She exclaimed.

He chuckled and again stood up, offering her hand. She hesitantly took it. Rey pulled her towards her and wrapped her arms around her waist and automatically, her hands rest on his shoulder. Rey quickly pulled his mobile and clicked on the play.

"Rey, what are you doing?" Taani asked.

"Well, I want to dance with you, Taani." He whispered calmly. He put the mobile back in his pocket and put his hand on the curve of her waist.

Rey smiled down at her and softly hummed the tune.

"Do you trust me Taani?" He asked her as he twirled her and again dragged her in his arms.

"Yes." She whispered. Rey smiled down at her, his eyes twinkled, making her heart melt for his smile.

He twirled her 180 and pulled her back. Her back touched his chest and Rey put his chin on her shoulder. They swayed softly on the tune.

" Taani, I have given my heart to someone else already." He whispered, making her stiffen in his arms. Rey titled and looked at her.

"Who?" Taani asked.

Rey kissed her shoulder, " You."

With that, he twirled her and she faced him. "You have my heart, forever. No one can come between us.." He cupped her chin, making her look into his eyes. Taani smiled softly, silently scolding for her stupidity.

"Always.." Rey whispered.

"Always.." Taani smiled and placed her head on his chest. Rey wrapped her arms around her and kept her close to him. The song had ended long, but they stayed like that.

Rey ran a hand in her hair, playing with her soft locks.

"Taani.."

"Hmm.." Taani said as she listened to his heartbeats.

"You are still irritating and tomato.."

Slowly... Words sinked and Taani pulled back, looking up at Rey with frown.

"What??" She opened her mouth but she couldn't say anything. She glared at Rey and he burst out laughing. Taani picked up a pillow from sofa and smacked his face with it.

Rey's laughter immediately subsided.

"You didn't do that?" He asked as he stepped closer to Taani. Taani took a step back, Rey was hovering her, like a predator who was going to eat the prey.

She yelped when Rey grabbed her, started tickling her.

They just kept doing that, teasing each other, doing pillow fight.

Suddenly, the room's bell range making them stop. Rey was still laughing clutching his stomach as he ruffuled Taani's hair and she slapped his hands away.

"I will take it."

With that he ran towards door and he opened the door. His laugh immediately falls and he looked with wide eyes.

Taani shook her head and put the pillows scattered on floor, on their place.

"Rey??" She asked for him. But, he didn't answer. Suddenly, she felt like she was the only in the room. She came out of the living room and came towards corridor. She could see, Rey's back and some more people.

"Rey.." She called him.

Rey quickly turned back and spotted Taani. Taani's eyebrows furrowed as two unknown pair of eyes were eying her. She kept a polite mask on her face.

A woman in simple yet fashionable saree was standing there. She was aged but not that much. By looking at her only, Taani could tell she belonged to some rich house. Then, Taani focused on the man standing besides her. He was almost Rey's height. Taani blinked and she stopped her observation. She looked at Rey, questioningly. But, before he could say anything. The man stepped in the room with the woman. May be his wife.

"Nice to meet you, Miss..." The man asked.

"Taani.." Taani answered, hesitantly.

"Nice to meet you, Taani. I am Digvijay Singhania and My wife, Nirmala Singhania." The old man introduced themselves.

Taani nodded, dumbfounded. Rey cleared his throat and caught Taani's attention.

"Taani this is my dad, Digvijay Singhania and my mom, Nirmala Singhania."Rey said, softly. Taani just nodded. Realization hit her hard like wall of bricks.

They are his parents.

Rahul smirked and Taani gulped, Rey was about to lunge at him but Taani put her hand around his arm.

"Taani... you still remember me?" A voice asked from the other line.

"Bhaaaiii.." Taani stammered.

"I am back Taani. I am in India.." Swayam shouted over the phone.

Rey scratched the back of his head. "We are going to dinner with my parents after your presentation."

"What?" Taani shouted.

Hola people... How's you all? Well, finally I updated this. Oh.. wait. If you want to give me any rude comments on that please don't bother. Please. I am really not in the state to deal with them and take them calmly.
