i would make an excuse sayin they were with someone else coz even though i love my books like hell (mind you i love ALL my books i can't bear see even a small ear waggin out at me from my books coz for me books are saraswati and can't bear see them hurt ...i even shout at my sister for TRYING to fold a page *don't you see theres a bookmark kept in the book 4 that* was what i said to her while chasing her around the house) i can't hurt anyones feelings (you may call me soft)

Well...once my friend had asked me for OotP n I had made some excuses...

If my sis asks for them I give them to her coz I trust her!

But for others I don't

I can give other books except HP books to ppl! I take utmost care of them n I never fold the pages n all!

None of option is applicable to me. I have already long back donated my 4 HP books to local library in NY when I was moving to Atlanta.
I have book 6 which I keep and if required I will lend to any diehard HP fan. I too believe that knowledge grows when shared. I think I will keep last 2 books as they are really good writting

I as many here might know am a reading freak. as long as my books are we'll kept and looked after i don't mind sharing it. but as far as the books are un-harmed. but if sumthing happens to it then you're dead meat. I once remember scolding my best friend for over an hour, because he accidently lost my copy of The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespere.

I don't think we're best friends since then .... he thought I was over-reacting (in retrospect I think maybe I was 😛 😉)

I own only the Half blood prince one and I am so stupid that I have hidden it up to not let anyone touch it or spoil it and in the bargain have forgotten where I had kept it!!! Now I want to read it myself and I cannot find it! 😆 😳
