Chapter 1

"NO! Your grandpa will kill me!" Sid screeched.

"He will kill you if he'll know, I wouldn't tell him nor will you." Astha said.

He gave her a curious look and asked "How is it possible? He would notice your absence, wouldn't he?"

She smiled and replied "He wouldn't be around. He is going out for three days, before he will get to know about my absence, I will be long gone to meet my--" she stopped then continued "my mother's husband."

"Do..you really want to meet him?" he asked carefully.

She shrugged her shoulders and spoke "I..I don't know, since I was a child, I always considered grandpa my father, I did wondered about him, but after knowing the truth, I merely developed hatred for him, I can't forget the tears my mother shed for him, I bear no feelings for him except hatred. I guess I only care about my mother's wish not him."

She asked herself, the same question, she wanted to know about her father, still do want to know. She wants to know how he looks, of course he was the handsome guy, why her mother fell in love with him. She wants to ask him, how can he be so heartless, how can he not be faithful when her mother always loved him, how can he not love her mother.

Sid touched her shoulder, bringing her back to the reality. She gave him a faint smile.

"when are you leaving for your little adventure?" he asked.

"The next day my grandpa leaves."

"I'm still telling you, don't go alone, I will go with you."

"Nah, I will be going alone, you yourself told me that grandpa will kill you if he'll get to know about this adventure, I won't drag you into this mess. Besides you have business to handle, unlike me who have nothing to do except--"

"fighting" he said and grinned.

She gave him an astonish look, "I don't fight!"

He raised his brow and replied "What do you call those two men whom you injured just this afternoon?"

"They deserved it, I was angry at grandpa, got angrier at those two men who were trying to seduce me."

"I hardly blame them for their doings when you are too pretty to resist, but then again they deserve it for seducing my dear cousin, they are not only seducing a mere girl but a girl with devilish temper."

She grinned and replied "Devilish temper? Nah, just temper out of control.."

She sighed.

"I guess that sigh was for me." She heard a deep, man voice. She looked back at the person who spoke, the most handsome man she had ever seen. She was sitting on his lap, his lips savoring the taste of her soft neck, how she love the touch of his lips.

His hand cupped her cheek and asked softly "Is something wrong?"

She looked at his confused dark brown eyes and removed the hand softly caressing her cheek. She instantly stood up and took several steps backward, she couldn't possibly tell him without crying. She couldn't even continue with this relationship, she wants more into this relationship than just physical relation, but she knew she couldn't have it. She couldn't have the heart of the most handsome man and the most notorious rake, Shlok.

"I can't..I can't continue with this.." She said, trying her best not to cry.

He gave her a baffled look and asked "What's wrong?"

"Shlok, I..know you have made it plain simple since beginning that you want nothing else than just physical relation but..I thought..I may change your mind, that maybe you may fell in love with me--"

"If you think I will marry you, then think again, I wou--"

"No! I didn't mean to ask you to marry, I just wanted to tell you, I can't continue with this, I want more than just intimacy, I want you to love me! I know I'm to be blamed here, I can't help myself, so I think it's better we part ways, oh, it's harder than I've imagined.." she said cryingly. Tears burst from her eyes flowing endlessly, she fell on her knees.

Shlok gritted his teeth, tears! Those damn tears! always making him weak and helpless especially guilty. This is the worst part of his rake life, breaking women heart, he couldn't see them crying yet he couldn't give them the love they want.

He bent down and held her chin, gently wiped her tears.

"I'm sorry.." she said softly.

"Hush, I know it's hard for you, no one can have control of their emotions. I'm sorry I can't love you..it's better we part ways, than I keep hurting you."

He gave a long kiss on her forehead and left her there.

So while goin bk to her Father Astha wl meet Shlok? Shlok is such a kamina here😈 Does he hav a reasn for being a rake? Cz he seemed genuinely nice to that grl😳 Lovd Sid-Asthu convo😳 c.s
