A s the days pass by, the competition gets stiffer. Indian Idol 3 judges, Udit Narayan and Alisha Chi- nai, believe that this season's winner be a girl. "The talent among the girls is unbe- lievable. Guys don't really match up to them. Among the girls, Aisha Sayed, Charu Semwal and Puja Chatterjee are the strongest contenders," says Narayan. Aisha's sultry voice and Charu's steady performance has been noticed by Chinai, too. "Aisha has the spark and Charu has a beautiful voice. They will go a long way," she adds. About the voted out contestants, Pinky Maidasani and Rashmi Vijayan, she says, "Their performance was not up to the mark. For that matter, even Richa Aneja performance was strictly okay but , it's luck at the end of the day. Richa has those nakhras, and what's a star without tantrums?" questions the lady judge. Chinai expresses her disappointment with Harshida Madhaparia's perform- ance: "She's been going off tune quite often and needs to work on it." Chinai doesn't rule out the male con- testants. She says, "They're all talented and I'm confident about Abhishek and Kumar, Meiyang Chang Suhit Gossain. They have it in them. It's not that the others are bad, but they stand the strongest chance, especially Suhit." Is Annu Mallek being missed on the sets? Both Narayan and Chinai say, "We need a dictator on the sets to strike the perfect balance. His upfront comments are being missed. It's sad that he won't be with us for the Piano Round."
