Until today, i had always been the type of person who believed that a celebrity owed to society to share with the public their personal life and that if something was to be leaked then it is their fault for being careless. But after seeing comments in the thread regarding the Preity-Ness case and also facebook comments, i understand why celebrities would want to keep their lives under the wraps from such judgmental, hypocritical, mean and pure evil beings. Initially when the Ranbir-katrina thing happened i was like "what idiots, they are celebs" but now i think that would be the worse thing to happen to someone. To be snooped on and have the pictures plastered to the world to ridicule.
Yes by all means express your skepticism to the validity of the report, but don't call them names, don't call them a gold digger, wh**e etc etc. It is disrespectful to the parents who raised you with such manners. I read comments about preity that were so derogatory, that even though i understand that is one or two people, i am saddened that such toxins and make life difficult for others in the community. Whether she is guilty or innocent i can no way be 100% sure of, but to put your career on the line it makes me think she is telling the truth (but that is another topic in itself, so lets not go there) BUT if she were, i imagined being her and reading those comments and just feeling horrible, that the fame, glamour and money wouldn't be worth it.
Why can we so easily degrade others and wrath hateful comments? Would we be able to say such things if the person was in front of us?
All in all, being a celebrity sucks. And making a mistake whilst being a celebrity is a living hell. I don't blame Aishwarya rai for being so called "cold", i don't blame shahrukh for giving witty-sideline-rude comments to the media nor kareena's arrogance to fans. i don't blame them. They can be jerks, but sometimes we are the bigger jerk.
I remember in year 2 hearing "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all"...damn right
