Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is set to be the top grosser of the year till date as it maintained steady collections on its eighth day. The day eight collections were around the 4 crore nett mark.

The eighth day collections are the best of the year and that second weekend and second week will also follow that trend. The film will easily go over 15 crore nett (possibly even to 17-18 crore) for the weekend as Saturday and Sunday will show big growth.

Jai Ho is the biggest grosser of the year till date with 108 crore nett and Holiday - a Soldier Is Never Off Duty should beat that and get to the 110 crore nett mark. The film will show a drop from week three onwards due to the flow of big releases but as the film is established now it will still get the screenings to do decent business from week three onwards and take it towards that 110 crore nett total.

Is it such a huge success? Both JH and Holiday had huge screen counts. Numbers are bound to be higher with an Alister being the lead. Holiday is very far from Akshay's RR which released at the same time couple of years back with lesser screens.

No. RR was a BB while Holiday will get Hit status. Still most thought Jai Ho would maintain highest grosser status until Kick release. Holiday has done decently given slow start and cold response to trailer and promotions.

Well it's good

So we have 3 100cr for first half of the year compared to last year we had one.

And well finally after Rowdy Rathore, Akshay gets his next 100cr. Jai Ho (110cr) was a disappointment but still amongst highest grossing of all's disappointing film - Aamir - Talaash (90cr). SRK - JTHJ (104cr)

JH is a poor comparison given that with 5500 screens it did only 108 cr. I guess thats the only plus Holiday will have as against JH. But still I think 2States trended best with 2200 screens and it hit 100cr.

I think only consolation for Akki is that atleast this film is doing better than his recent hyped masala films like K786, Boss, OUATIMD.

Yup. 2 States is the biggest success taking budget into account. Also got Super Hit status. Only movie to do so in 2014. Queen, Ragini MMS 2 and Heropanti got Hit status.

And also a jthj BO collection!! Why everyone alwyz want to target salman movie...i mean there are other actor too who gave semi hit like talaash of AK n jthj n ra-one of that overated , self proclaimnd superstar n overacted srk! D
