Will promotion in TV shows stop?

Whether it is bigg boss, other reality shows, even shows like Tarak Mehta, it seems that bollywood celebs want to be everywhere before their movie releases. Not blaming them, hell if I invest so much and work for an year, I would like to take every opportunity to promote my film.

Jo India mein bikta hai,
Woh hi TV pe dikhta hai.

Do you think people would even bother watching Jhalak Dikhlaja with a line up of unknown TV actors if there aren't TV stars frequenting the sets?

Umm..the majority of people world wide get what movies are coming out through TV entertainment programs. Even the local news usually has a segment on movies releasing that week.

I feel sorry when the channels decide to use these big actors to come to their flop shows! They use them to promote their bakwas shows so they can do better in TRPS!

It's fun when done in a limit. If you have film actors coming every other week to promote your film on the show (that too on a daily soap) it gets irritating.

I don't mind actors promoting their films on reality shows too. But what irritates me is that some actors talk only about their films and have a bored/not interested/'someone take me out of this tacky show' wala look the rest of the time. If you are on the show promoting your film, show respect to the show and everyone associated with it. Try to interact and show genuine interest. And for god's sake, be on time. It is ridiculous to keep a whole set of actors/reality show participants and judges waiting just cos u r not ready yet for an appearance. You are not doing any favour by coming to the show, you came bcos you need promotions just as much as they want to increase viewership.

It gets really irritating when these actors are everywhere before the release of their movies.
Its like they are forcing you to go and watch their movies.Earlier also movies did release and there was no such promotions but still the movies did so well.What is the need for so much promotion.I wish the film makers concentrated more on good script than promotions.

Its a win-win. So, no it wont stop.
