Sandhir OS:|| Autograph Please..||

"God knows why has Vardhan sir asked the entire dream team to assemble in the lab at this hour." Sanyukta spoke as she dragged a half asleep Kaustuki to the mechanical lab.

It was 5 in the morning. All had been asleep when suddenly Vardhan sir's voice had boomed in the entire college. "I want my entire dream team in the lab in the next 8 minutes."

Both the girls entered the lab to find Randhir already present there.

"Late as always Aggarwal. Learn something from me." He said smirking.

"Oh god! Of all the people why did i have to meet you so early morning. My entire day is going to be go bad now." Sanyukta said emphasising on the word bad'.

"Why just today farzii? With me around every minute of yours is going to be like hell." He shot back as he came and stood next to her.

"I am glad you know what you are capable of. Your capabilities are limited to making others life hell and irritating them with all the rubbish and nonsense you think and talk."

"Oh come on Sanyukta. Dont lie. You very well know my capabilities extend way beyond that. With these looks and brains i have i am sure that.." Randhir was interrupted by Sanyukta "yup with these die for looks and brain and your stupid big fat ego I.." she stopped and bit her tongue. She turned towards him and he had an expression on his face which she couldn't understand.

"Die for looks? I never said anything like that farzii.." he smirked and inched closer to her.

"Dont get your expectations so high MCP. I was jst saying that..umm..I.."

"Ya tell me what were you saying." He inched closer to her and spoke looking directly in her eyes.

They were standing very close to each other looking in each other's eyes.

"Sanyu. Did sir come?" Kaustuki's voice resulted in the eye lock coming to an end.

Sanyukta turned around to find Kaustuki sleeping and mumbling sitting on a chair with her head on the table.

" Kaustu. Get up. Sir will be here any moment." She tried to wake her up.

In their argument they hadnt seen when Sahil, Vidushi and Parth had entered the lab.

"Everyone here Captain?" Vardhan sir entered the lab.

Parth stepped forward and answered "Sir except Jignesh everyone is here."

Jiggy had not been keeping well for the last few days and had missed a lot of classes.

"Yes i know about Jignesh Patil's health. Its your responsibility to make sure he doesn't miss out on anything. Got it?" Vardhan sir spoke pointing towards Parth.

"Yes sir."

Vardhan sir took out some papers, "So guys you all must be wondering why i have called you all here. As you all know FITE has been organising the Tech Fest for the last 10 years and has won during the entire period. This fest is meant only for final year students. But this year there is going to be a change. Since the final year students are going to be busy with their exams dream team will be representing FITE in the fest this year."

Everyone in the room was shocked except Randhir and Sanyukta. Only those two had a enthusiastic smile on their face.

"But sir. We are only in second year. All the participants from other colleges will be in their fourth year. How can we compete with them?" Vidushi asked.

"I know that Vidushi. There is nothing new that you are telling me. And get one thing in your mind very clearly. If you don't have confidence and belief in yourselves there is no place for you in my dream team. I have full confidence in all of you. In my dream team. But do you have it on yourself and on me? Vardhan sir asked.

"Yes sir." All said in unison.

"Good. That's good. So now its time to choose a captain. Just because Parth is the dream team captain doesn't mean he will the captain here too." Vardhan sir spoke as he took out some bits of paper.

"We don't have time to choose a captain on the basis of a task.So here on one of these 6 chits each of your names are written.

Randhir, Sanyukta, Parth, Kaustuki, Sahil and Vidushi.

I will pick up one and the person whose name is written on it will be the captain. Agreed?"

"Yes." They all replied.

Vardhan sir tossed all the chits on the table and picked up one.

"Randhir." The chit read.

"Shit. Why this MCP? Even Vidushi would have been better." Sanyukta thought.

Randhir stepped forward.

Vardhan sir said" So Randhir it is. I hope you wont disappoint FITE."

"No sir. We will try our best." Came his confident reply.

"Good. That's good." He picked up those papers and handed them over to Randhir." These are the participation forms. All of you need to fill it, get it signed by the captain and submit it to me by tomorrow 12 noon. And there is also a list of all the competitions which are going to be held. Have a look and plan accordingly." Saying so he walked out of the lab.

All the six of them crowded around a table and got down to discuss and plan about the fest.

3 hours later

"Okay guys. I think that's enough for now. We have PKC's class in some time. We can continue after that." Randhir said.

"Yes. That's a good idea. I am exhausted." Vidushi said.

"Okay everyone. See you in class." And all of them left.

2 hours later

Classroom

"Sanyu. Lets go to the canteen. I am very hungry.' Kaustuki spoke.

"Ya Kaustu. But lets get done with this form first." She said as she took out the form.

"Oh this. I forgot to tell you. Before class had started all of us had got it signed from Randhir and we went and submitted it. You had gone to the library then."

"Ok then you go and will submit this and catch up with you later." Sanyukta said as she started filling up the form.

Randhir stood there listening to the conversation. The signature smirk was back on his face." This is going to be fun." He thought s he walked out of the room.

After a few minutes,

"Done. Now i need to find this MCP. Hope he doesn't create any nuisance this time." She said.

She searched for him in the canteen, library and finally procedded towards the mechanical lab.

MECHANICAL LAB

Randhir was there working up on a machine when he heard her say,

"Here you are. I have been searching for you everywhere."as she entered the lab.

"Looking for me Aggarwal. What are your intentions?" he asked innocently.

"Shut up and just sign this form." She handed him the form.

"No ordering around here Aggarwal. You need to request." He got back to the machine.

" I knew it. How can you do something for me without creating any nuisance. But not right now. Just sign it."

"I think you dint get me. Request. Not order. Get it? You need to request for my autograph. "he said without looking up from the machine.

Huh? Request for autograph!!! This guy was driving her nuts.

"Ok fine. Randhir can you please sign on my form?" she asked in her sweetest voice.

"Sure farzii. After you are done with this i will surely give my autograph on your form."

"Wait. Done? Done with what?"she was confused.

"With this machine that you are going to repair now. Its Jiggy's project. Since he is unwell i thought i will do it for him. But then you are his better friend right? So now you will do it. That too in a hour.

"What. No way. I am not going to accept your conditions just to get a signature on this stupid form. I will go to Vardhan sir. Then you can tell all your conditions to him. Ok?" Sanyukta started walking towards the door.

"Vardhan sir. Sure go. He will be so happy to see his students running upto him to complain about others. Just like nursery class. Right farzii?" he smirked.

Sanyukta sighed in defeat.

"Ok fine. I will do it for Jiggy." She said as she started analysing the machine.

And for yourself too. Good. After one hour when you are done, i will be there in the library. Get your form there." He said as he pike up his bag and walked out.

"MCP. I so hate you." Sanyukta whispered in anger.

HALF HOUR LATER

"How is the work going Aggarwal?" Randhir entered the lab with a cup of coffee in his hand.

"Good. Until i was blessed by someone's presence. What are you doing here?"

"Just came to check in case you required my help. And got this for you." He put the cup down. "In case you fainted after exerting your brain so much."

"I don't need it. Thank you." She said as she shook her head.

Some of her flicks fell on her face. She tried to put them back with the back of her hand since her hands were greasy but was unsuccessful.

"Tch Tch..You girls." He shook his head as he inched close to her and with his hands put the strands of hair behind her face.

They stood so close. His proximity made her look directly into his eyes. Those brown orbs stared back into her black ones.

"Aggarwal. I know i have looks to die for." Emphasising on the last words, "but just to remind you , you have only half an hour to go."

He laughed stepping back and walked away.

"Huh. Just time waste he is." Sanyukta got back to her work.

HALF HOUR LATER

Library

Sanyukta entered the library and found Randhir immersed in a huge book. Around him were ten more books.

Does he consider himself a robot that he will read so many books within such a short time. Oh ya. I am right. He is a robot. Hard and insensitive. She thought as she approached him.

"The project is done. Now sign." She said placing the form in front of her.

"Have some patience. Let me go and check if the work has been done all right or not. Because i don't trust you. Till then do one thing place all these books back in their proper places." Saying so he left.

"What the hell." Sanyukta shouted frustrated.

"Shh..its a library. No shouting here." The librarian came and scolded her.

"Yes mam sorry. "she said as she started putting all the books back cursing Randhir in her mind.

1 HOUR LATER

Sanyukta was roaming around in the college searching for Randhir. She had gone to the lab from the library but he was not present there. She searched in every possible place bt he was nowhere found.

"Where the hell is he? When i don't want him he will always be present. Now that i need him he is nowhere found." She muttered when her phone vibrated.

Message from Randhir

Farzii..kept u waitng..right..get the form at 9 in the lab.

"MCP!!!! What the. " she went to her room frustrated.

9 p.m.

MECHANICAL LAB

Sanyukta came to the lab to find Randhir sitting on a chair eating a chocolate.

"So. Had you gone to the astrologer to ask for a auspicious time when i can get your signatures?" she spoke every word of her filled with anger.

"Yup. Something like that. Anyways forget that. Give me your form." He said.

"Finally." She handed her form to him.

He began analysing the form. With each passing second Sanyukta's irritation increased.

"Randhir i know how to fill a form. Just sign."

"I will. I will. First i would like to hear from you what you think about me."

"Really. Well you are a MCP, insensitive, egoistic, good for nothing jerk."

Randhir shoke his head" Sanyukta i thought you wanted me to sign on this form. Taking that into consideration are you sure this is what you want he to hear?" he smirked.

Sanyukta sighed. "Randhir . You are the most helpful and kind person that i have ever known. Everything about you is so perfect. Your looks. Your intelligence. No wonder you are Rank 1. You are such a perfectionist." Sanyukta spoke sarcasm dripping from her voice in every word.

Randhir couldn't help but smile.

"Farzii." He said as he took the form in his hand and approached her. "You cant even lie properly. Good night. See you tomorrow." Saying so he ran away from there with her form.

Sanyukta couldn't believe it. This was limits. She stamped her foot in frustration and went away.

NEXT MORNING

11 am

Randhir had been awake since 4 am. Since the last 6 hours he had been continuously working in the lab alone. He was the captain now and he had a big responsibility on his shoulders. There were many things he had to look in and plan.

Working since such a long time had made him tired and he thought of going to the canteen to grab a bite.He took along all the papers including Sanyukta's form.

As he was walking in the passage way he saw Sanyukta coming in his direction dragging a suitcase behind her.

The smile which had appeared on Randhir's face after seeing Sanyukta disappeared as his eyes fell on the suitcase.

"What the. Where is she going? There is still time for her engagement. Then why is she going now? No." He thought as he ran towards her.

"Sanyukta where are you going? So desperate to get engaged that you cant wait?" he asked trying to sound normal.

Sanyukta couldn't understand why he was saying so.And then something dawned on her and she couldn't help smiling.

"Why are you laughing? Did i ask you something funny?" Randhir shouted trying to hide the desperation in his voice.

"Randhir. It just struck me that this is our last conversation. I am going home. My engagement is fixed. I know there is still time but there is no point to stay here. Now all of you are going to be busy in the fest. And i cant participate in it as you are not ready to sign the form. So there are going to be no classes. Also mom had called up last night and she insisted on me coming home. If i was participating i could have as well given an excuse and increased my stay here. But now that i am not there was no point in arguing. So here i am going. Bye." Saying so she started to walk away when Randhir pulled her back.

He took out a pen from his pocket and sighed Sanyukta's form there and then.

"Here. See its done. And don't think i did this to make you stay. I did this so because i pity you. Plus according to the rules of the fest each team needs a minimum of 6 people. Since Jiggy is unwell we are already reduced in number. Not that your presence makes a difference. But physically we need 6 people. So you cant go now. Thats it." He spoke all in one breath.

Sanyukta gave him an amazed look.

"Randhir bhai..Achoo..Thank god i found you..Achoo..Otherwise i would had to leave without meeting you..Achoo.Achoo.." Jiggy came coughing and sneezing badly, wearing a monkey cap. Along with him came Kaustuki.

"Where have you been since morning Randhir bhai. You even left your mobile in the room. Achoo..You know i am going to Gujarat for a few days. This disease is contagious.Achoo.. I don't want all of you to fall ill because of me. I will come back soon. Dont miss me much ok."

Jiggy spoke, "Taxi is waiting outside. Lets go. Sanyukta thanks a lot for carrying my bag." Saying so he took the suitcase from Sanyukta's hand.

Randhir was dumbfolded. For a moment he couldn't get what was going on. And then it struck him.

"Jiggy Kaustu you guys go. We will catch up with you in a minute." Sanyukta said as they left.

She turned back to him.

"You lied to me? How dare you." Randhir said.

"Yes. Everything is fare in love and war.Isnt it?" she said raising an eyebrow.

"This is what?" he asked inching closer.

"This is." Sanyukta replied as she put one of her hand on his shoulder and bringing her mouth close to his ear whispered "War."

Saying so she snatched her form from his hand and stepped back laughing. She turned to leave but turned back to face him.

"Thanks for the autograph Shekhawat." She winked at him and walked away leaving a smiling Randhir behind.
