After listening to that awful version of 'Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya' last night, I was once more struck by how much of an impression the kids made in the last season of SRGMP. Abhrokanti made this his song with that heartbreaking, navarasa-embracing rendition when he was voted out.

Many new songs registered because they were sung so well by them. By contrast, in the previous EMET, I grew to dislike certain songs simply because I heard them for the first time and neither singer nor song impressed.

I am looking forward to the return of Abhas and Sanchari in this series.

Watching the Titan Antakshari show, I was also sad that kids (the Little Champs winners) who should be in school and music class were the centre point of a really silly program that might bring them name-recognition (and the program TRPs) but not do anything for them in the long run. I found it very exploitative of these three very young kids.

Well, the guy who sang tera jadoo chal gaya wasn't selected. Abhijeet told him to stop mid-day too so the judges weren't impressed either. (I think they should let the singer finish though regardless)

Abhrokanti's version was wonderful. 👏 Some Big champs (i.e. Vinit and Arijit) have also sung the song well. 😊

The other singers selected are really talented though.

True, some of them are. Actually, the standard seems higher, not just in comparison to the other two shows on air, but also to recent SRGMP series.

Actually Vinit had done very very well in this song, I woukd say that was his best performance of C2005... Abhokanti was excellent in this song too.. Was not a regular watcher of Fame Gurukul so missed Arijit's performance I guess...

This week, even Suhit from II attempted this song, and even he was quite bad.. I think, if you do not have a good base, you should not attempt such a tough song...

Exactly my feelings - not sure why Sanchita, Sameer and Diwakar have to waste their time on this show.. Its not doing them any good to their singing careers - then why waste time! I would rather hope that they complete their studies before jumping full fledged into singing

I did not hear Arijit sing this song, or if I did, it clearly left no impression on me! I do remember Vinit signing this, and I remember it from his singing because it was new to me then. To me, it is Abhro's performance that has virtuosity because it was brimming with several different emotions and at the same time, the child never lost sur, taal or breath.

I think it's safe to say though that I am very partial to the Little Champs!
