For me, its not about winning or losing Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa - Shakti

The very well known contemporary and Bharatnatyam dancer Shakti Mohan will be seen grooving to some Bollywood music in the upcoming 7th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa on Colors, with her partner Tushar. She will be judged by the stunning Madhuri Dixit, the Rocking Remo and India's one and only Karan Johar. The stunning dancer has been a winner of Zee TV's Dance India Dance season 2 and has her eyes set on winning Jhalak too with all her might and valor.

In a recent press conference of the popular dance reality show, Shakti Mohan expressed her views on the strategy that she has planned that would take her closer to holding the trophy in her hand. "I am not looking forward to winning or losing this show. I just want to have a good experience and I want to cherish these memories. I want to tell the audience that Tushar is a very good dancer as well as a great choreographer, so do support us throughout our journey."

The graceful dancer got plenty of opportunities after winning the show Dance India Dance, as she made short appearances in movies by dancing for a few item songs. She is also seen in Channel V's Dil Dostii Dance. So where would Jhalak take her? "I really do not plan anything. My life has just kept moving on and so have I too. I will first look into the opportunity and then look forward to achieving it. Whatever the opportunity may be, it has to be related to dance."

On interviewing her partner Tushar about Shakti Mohan, he had this to say, "Shakti is a very hard-working dancer and she has learnt contemporary style of dancing from Terrence. The participants need to be familiar with every form of dance this season be it Bollywood, Contemporary or Hip Hop and I think she is pretty good at every single style of dance."

On her chances of winning the trophy, the pretty lady said, "Success totally depends on the voting which will be given by the audience and the marks which will be given by the judges. All we have to do is work hard, try and give our best. Talking about last year's finalists, I am really happy the way Drashti (Dhami) performed. According to me Drashti and Lauren (Gottlieb) faired equally well. I hope I give my best on the show; winning and losing is not important."

Do you think votes are based on the personality of a contestant rather than the performance? "Yes it does. Viewers have seen me dance and perform in Dil Dostii and also in Dance India Dance. This show will be bringing about the reality. I want to evolve more as a dancer and as a person."
