I don't understand what exactly the problem is... is it her character or the fact that she's a woman who dares to bring a change! She rode a tractor, became a sarpanch and did all the manly things, that's a PROBLEM? Really?
So what would have been really right acc to you? She should have rather sat helplessly wallowing in self-pity and let her kids die of starvation... or rather should have begged with others to take her responsibility or even compromised on her integrity by being with the men who wanted to prey on her?In this traditionally a male-dominated society why is it when a woman adorns a garb of the likes of Tulsi-Parvati she's idealized but when the same woman challenges the society to hold her head high in time of crisis and refuse to depend on others who might have ulterior motives or may pity her becomes irritating and blotch worthy? Strange we have no issues when larger than life characters of stereotyped Bahus defies any logic but we object when a woman takes charge of her own life and destiny! In my opinion television being a strong medium when picks topics like these and present woman in avatars and roles greater than being an ideal and self-sacrificing Bahu or Beti they are sending out a strong message of change and ideologies and are needed to be encouraged. This post reminds me of the scene on the show where a stone is hurled on Ratan when she takes charge as a sarpanch or rather a much real incident when recently a female lady conductor is abused brutally by a commuter just because she reprimanded him from breaking the code of boarding the bus from the back entrance!Disappointing! Stereotyping woman surely doesn't take our society any further nor will it provide any relief from the growing crimes against womanhood across this globe. My request, if you can't appreciate... be sensitive!
Exactly... Tulsi - Parvati - Prerna - Archana r adored for their cries and OTT characters. But when someone tries to show a strong character which we can relate with real life and should admire... People think its irritating...
😳
I like Ratan for being strong, independent, smart, wise , logical and loyal...
