Really 🥱 Ratan is so so irritating She keeps turning up at wrong times between ranvir & gunjan, this clothes order of hers never seems to end, she keeps doing all the manly things be it being sarpanch - ploughing her farms or her taking part in that weird competiton a while back, and to top it all is when she comes on her tractor 🤢

Ah, I see this is a serious post... I am sorry to say but this post sounds so misogynistic... 🤢
Its more to do with her being a female n less about her character n actions...

I don't understand what exactly the problem is... is it her character or the fact that she's a woman who dares to bring a change! She rode a tractor, became a sarpanch and did all the manly things, that's a PROBLEM? Really?

So what would have been really right acc to you? She should have rather sat helplessly wallowing in self-pity and let her kids die of starvation... or rather should have begged with others to take her responsibility or even compromised on her integrity by being with the men who wanted to prey on her?

In this traditionally a male-dominated society why is it when a woman adorns a garb of the likes of Tulsi-Parvati she's idealized but when the same woman challenges the society to hold her head high in time of crisis and refuse to depend on others who might have ulterior motives or may pity her becomes irritating and blotch worthy? Strange we have no issues when larger than life characters of stereotyped Bahus defies any logic but we object when a woman takes charge of her own life and destiny!

In my opinion television being a strong medium when picks topics like these and present woman in avatars and roles greater than being an ideal and self-sacrificing Bahu or Beti they are sending out a strong message of change and ideologies and are needed to be encouraged. This post reminds me of the scene on the show where a stone is hurled on Ratan when she takes charge as a sarpanch or rather a much real incident when recently a female lady conductor is abused brutally by a commuter just because she reprimanded him from breaking the code of boarding the bus from the back entrance!

Disappointing! Stereotyping woman surely doesn't take our society any further nor will it provide any relief from the growing crimes against womanhood across this globe. My request, if you can't appreciate... be sensitive!

is empowering the women the only role for ratan as sarpanch.. where are the pind imp decicions & cases which she has to give verdict on. cvs are showing only this mahila karyalaya thing for her cummon tht she cud have done without being sarpanch too.
i find this entirely boring. 🥱🥱

I haven't watched the show since the big leap but I do keep up with it.

This is very well said..

This entire show was based on unique relationship between Veera and Ranvi, this was all about Ranvi thirst for a sister and his love for his sister and also about Ratan and how she deals with the cards she was dealt with in life.

I feel the whole essence of the show is changed, but then they went their typical way and introduced the romantic angles to the story and bham..all of a sudden the show is very popular here on IF?

I ask people who make post like this where were they when this story first started.

Anyhow.. this was very well said.
