Surprises galore

When Vivek Oberoi returned from New York he was delighted to find that his Shootout… was very well received.

Vivek had left for New York on the day of the premiere of one of his most successful film Shootout at Lokhandwala. So when he returned from New York after performing at the Bollywood Awards a great surprise awaited him. His discovered that Shootout… was being celebrated in a big way.

Speaking about Shootout at Lokhandwala, he says, "I left the day the film premiered. I have had no chance to see the feedback but my phone has been jammed with messages. I guess people have liked my performance. I had a great time working with the entire Shootout… team and I really look up to Sanjay Dutt who is the best. I have great regard for Sanjay Gupta as a producer and of course, I want to thank Apu (Apurva Lakhia) who has presented me like never before." Vivek is also excited that the distributors have reacted favorably to his role in Shootout…

Soon after he returned from New York he rushed straight to the special screening of Fool and Final. There again he was delighted to see that producer Firoz Nadiadwala had given him special credit for a special appearance. Vivek says, "Fool and Final will always be a special film for me as I have a special role in a special appearance in the film. I have great regards for Firoz Bhai and so I had done the film for him. He always treats me like his brother and I am also very close to Ahmed Khan, the director. When Firoz Bhai asked me to do the film, I could not say 'no' to him. I will always be there for him. I was pleasantly surprised by the acknowledgment that he has given me in the end titles." All in all it was a happy homecoming for Vivek!
