Child embarrassed of Parent(s)? - Page 5

There are some parents who get embarrased when their child scores a low grade/marks as compared to neighbor's kid or embarrased about a skinny child because the neighbor lady commented on the kid.

Once i try to Embrassed my friend's parents ,i give to my marklist insted of my friend.......they shocked......cos all marks n single digit that time......

Sad though it is, yes, sometimes there are cases where a child is embarrased of his parent (s). However, it's the perception of the child and might not be a genuine problem of a parent. I had a friend whose kid was extremely embarrased of his parents - he was a topper and his parents were not really well versed in spoken English and of course looked different than other American parents. The kid was in kindergarten and he was at an age where the feeling of others were not important and he could throw a tantrum and get away with it. However, I remember my friend being extremely upset with it. The father did not even come inside the class to collect the Report card, the sad part being, the teacher, oblivious of what was happening as the kid was speaking in Hindi to his parnets, waxed eloquent about his achievements........it was sad, ironic and depressing.

Yeah ! I saw somany people of this variety! Some of my friends were of this category those poor creatures used to study hard for the sake of their parents!😆 Its really funny see the parents worrying about the assignment marks of their children!! My friend was harassed by her mom !She used to compare my friend with her neighhours' daughter (who is also my friend)!
