Exactly! He was often referred as the greatest barrier by many. Also, there was no place of treachery as long as he was present. Every rule was broken after his fall.

True... Even Krishna quoted in a conversation - All Maharathis of Kauravas- be it Bhishma, Karna or Drona - all will be defeated - by HOOK or CROOK... if you remember - to Shakuni and Duryodhana with Dushasana visit to Dwarika for seeking help in the war - while giving away the Narayani Sena
