So, fans can comment on how their favorites look, what they wear, what films they choose.

Even Aamir has taken breaks several times. His career did not suffer.

I would not judge anyone even if he became a stay at home dad or worked from home.

Times are changing now. Many men cut down on work to either spend time with family or pursue their hobbies/alternate interests.

It is totally their choice what they want to do and what they feel is right.

Mansoor Khan studied from best academic institutions but left it all to make movies. Took gaps even as a filmmaker, finally gave up movies and became a farmer. This family seems to lead life on their on terms and are doing pretty well for themselves. I do not see any reason to be judgemental on their career choices.

Well we don't even know if he was telling the truth about a voluntary leave.

If it is true then I don't see the wrong- he wants to spend time with his wife and newborn when it arrives and he can afford to.

He isn't telling all fathers-to-be to follow his lead.

Dont know..I dont mind him taking a break for however long he wants to..Dont think he will be missed much🤔..So its better that he is enjoying the fatherhood..rather than torturing us with another crap like GTPM or OUATIMD..😳

It's his choice to take a break from work (if he is really taking a break that is) and spend time with his wife during his pregnancy. He told in one interview that he would like to fully pamper his wife during pregnancy, maybe he's doing it now. Not just him, many other couples like to go on baby-moons too and spend time with each other during pregnancy.

He didn't say everyone else should do the same thing as him, nor is he setting an example for anyone- frankly he's not that big enough and I think people are mature enough to understand that they shouldn't blindly emulate something as major as taking an off from work during the whole period of pregnancy just bcos Imran is doing it. It's his choice and his luxury that he can afford to take a break from work to spend time with his wife.

Though it's kinda obvious that it's a forced break for him, but in any case, even if he was taking one, toh kya problem hai.

Cant compare with Aamir. If SRK tomorrow takes a break and comes after 2 years, then the movie will be promoted as SRK returns.

Who is Imran Khan? Will people even care to go for his movie if the trailer doesn't impress them? if your answer is yes then tell me why Gori tere pyaar mein, Matru didn't take any opening?

There are reasons to bash Aamir also for taking breaks. When a successful man takes breaks it is said he is doing a blunder by taking break at peak and not continuing to cash on his success.

Imran can either continue as a character actor or try venturing into other aspects of filmmaking like writing, production, direction etc. As a man he also knows what responsibility he has for his family.

Movies as lead actors are not the only means to earn for people. Many down and out actors are earning comfortably well from other ventures.

If he is not short on money, then it is a good thought to be with his wife during her pregnancy .. after all they both are equally responsible for the baby ..

but usually men prefer to take the break during wives' last trimester or after the baby is born .. that way they can help with taking care of the baby, which I believe must be a very difficult process in the first few months .. and some women even go through post-natal depression, if they have their spouse with them than they would be less anxious
