asault by insider -live wid the guilt?

i just made thic topic because assaults , molesting is very common nowdays but to a disgusting turn that teh victims are close relatives or some one we know and trust....

is it right that pple try and hide that they have beeen
"touched" by their close ones blood or cousins ..and try and hide but blame yourself for what happend?

i dnt no wat to say.. .. i have seen pple who have been molested by their own uncles and frnds..

Rape, molestation and assault are hardly anything trivial...and regardless of who is involved, it should never be kept under wraps. I guess victims probably keep quiet about it for fear of being pointed fingers at and judged (our society and culture hardly ever make it easy!)...but rape and molestation happen regardless of the behavior of the victim...the rapist is simply looking for a good opportunity. Talking about the incident and letting the world know about it, only helps put one more criminal behind bars and makes it all the more difficult for the person to commit such a hideous act again. So I am all for speaking out loud about it.

Agreed big issue, let focus on how we can help the cuase... I say any such happening report it to elders, immediately. And for elders - wake uppp.. step up and get justice, you are not only responsible for urself but the whole society.

anshu its not easy i think for them to go to elders becoz some elders can be biased. i said some and not all. i would suggest for them to go for counselling, thats the best solution
